Pretty sure I've become addicted to chili recently.
Nearly every meal I eat except breakfast has to involve fresh chili, hot sauce, or both. It doesn't feel like a proper meal without it.
My excitement in getting a new hot sauce to try later (Cholula - http://www.cholula.com/hot_sauce_flavors/original_hot_sauce.php) is tragic.

No worries. Soon any breakfast eggs you eat will feel barren and lonely without an exotic hot sauce applied liberally.

Ha, yes, if i have eggs for a later breakfast / brunch, is slam some Franks all over it.

Looking for some decent breakfast/brunch recipe books. Trying to add in some sort of healthy ish take on the big breakfast, rather than just frying bacon and sausages. We are talking cooked breakfasts and not cereal/muesli/granola and yoghurt.
Any suggestions gratefully received..

Couscous. Add a shit load of chilli and ginger, some spinach, carrots (or summat), and cook in a rich chicken stock. Even better if you can get Israeli couscous.
Or, hash. Bring some potatoes to the boil unpeeled, and half cook. Peel them, grate them, and mix with sautéed red onion, paprika, and cooked meat of your choice.
Stuffed peppers.
Baked, roasted or confit root veg. Ever tried roasting carrots half way, then finishing in confit mix; it's really good.
Stir fry.
Tamales, crepes, samosa.Edit: Oh, wait, books. No idea.

the bandeja paisa was indeed from 'El rancho de Lalo' in Brixton Market.. great food and choices on the menu. all authentic Colombian cuisine. the traditional hangover cure is sancho de cola.. and in Bogota their breakfast soups have a boiled egg.

Kimchi burritos with bulgoggi pork and/or fried egg

If your constitution can take it, the Japanese do the most amazing, healthy breakfasts. Rice and miso soup with smoked fish is the norm. And if you want to be hardcore, you can get hold of natto at the Japan Centre.

Thanks for all your breakfast suggestions
@beseku, @Tenderloin, @LHL, @rive_gauche,everything is in play right now, but have found some recipes which will make for interesting breakfasts, looks like I'll be using alot of smoked fish as a substitute for the bacon and sausages..
Right now I'm thinking along the lines of, smoked haddock fish cakes with poached eggs, some sort of fried rice (nasi goreng, but without the peanut oil), a leek and potato hash with kippers, frittata (but I'm worried about the amount of oil used in the recipe I have), whitebait fritters, and herring pastries...
It's for people with no buttocks.
