  • Gregg is effectively Gail's bit of rough

  • Watch and learn joeym, watch and learn

I want to! I feel like I am missing something though.

  • I feel both discussed, and amazed....Imaging the wrap being a hot pancake.

  • Man, for the true gregs experience you know you have to buy it from Iceland

For the fresh out of the oven flavour.

    Pffff....

Fresh from Gregg's restaurant or GTFO! It takes 25 minutes from that. 1 minute top from Maurine Hecklethwathe at my local emporium.

    Iceland my arse.

    Same here!

Imaging the wrap being a hot pancake.

I thought that's what it is, actually!

  • I made asparagus curry last night. I wanted curry and only had asparagus in the fridge. Is units but it was really delicious. Knocked up a panchporan red lentil Dahl and we were good to go.

    Recipe: http://curryandcomfort.yummly.com/2012/03/asparagus-curry-sri-lankan-style.html?m=1

  • your wee is going to smell... interesting.

about 5 medium to small-ish asparagus spears at white people's market yesterday - £2.50. what am i missing?

  • £2.50?

  • ha!

picked up 10 tomatoes, a punnet of mushrooms and a jar of harissa at NCC for about the same. Fuck white people's market.

tho i do like the black cabbage they hock there.

    blabbage.

  • Is that the HH WPM or one in Whorwood?

  • the hierarchy is as follows:

    WPM - BXTN
    SUPER WPM: HH
    SUPER ULTRA WPM: WN4L
    SUPER ULTRA MEGA WPM: BRCKLY

  • we did the brockley one on saturday. i've never seen so many expensive looking dogs. people were q-ing 45 minutes for a cup of coffee.

  • It's a different world... Coffee is still a quid in Max's on Station Road...

  • I thought that's what it is, actually!

That would be awesome....slightly warm and little melty.

But you don't get the true gregs fresh out of the oven experience, hot dripping pastry not been sullied by a brown paper bag nor plastic napkin also a something that has not sat under a heat lamp...;)

You can even get a frozen kebab and jim beam coated pork products in Iceland now.

  • That would be awesome....slightly warm and little melty.

No way. If you can't get it with herbs-garlic sauce and wrapped in a lahmacun it is just a shitty crêpe. Go hard or go home etc.

  • Lahmacun choco döner extra spicy.

  • Does anyone know where in London would do a "Pittsburgh rare" or "Pittsburgh Style" steak?

I'm thinking some sort of American steakhouse.

    Cheers.

  • Not unless there's a Ruth's Chris around here - is there?

  • shouldn't any of the 'proper' steakhouses in town be able to do a black and blue?

    goodmans/mash/hawksmoor

  • My mate suggested the Hawksmoor.

I guess most places should. I just wondered if there was anything additionally special about the Pittsburgh Rare over a standard black 'n blue.

When it first started you would find people wandering round Hilly Fields muttering about "why is it so fucking far from Brockley Station?"

  • I would have wandered around muttering: 'Why are these fields so hilly?'
