  • FP on this thread sure wasn't about burgers.

I like burgers. But come on, there is a lot more on the food world. A lot more that is less fashion driven too. Three years ago, burgers wrought have had a mention in a thread like this.
Of course there is a lot more to food than burgers, but burgers are fashionable at the moment and relatively easy to make at home so is it really surprising that there will be burger talk? It doesn't mean you can't talk about other (non meat-based) food.

Following the non-burger theme: I made a crayfish net last week and had it out over the weekend. The idea of catching, cooking and eating my own food appeals a lot to me so I was really looking forward to pulling up a net of the critters. Unfortunately, despite their reported prevalence I didn't catch a single one. I'm off the the river again this evening so hopefully I'll have a better story for tomorrow!

    I know, csb etc.

  • Oh noes. 2 pages out of 301 are talking about non meat food.
I wasn't complaining that people had been talking about veggie burgers. I joined that conversation...

  • Ever since I've started watching House of Cards I've had a massive craving for BBQ ribs.

I know, I was being tongue in cheek too.

Thanks for all the input on the veggie burger front.

Maybe you'll go to the whisky thread and find something there for you.....

  • The best peanut butter though is the Meridian/myprotein, no sugar, no salt, all peanut excellence.
    It is just better.

Just invested in a bucket (1kg) of crunchy meridian PB. The appearance is somewhat alarming*. The taste is fantastic.
