  • I cycled past this today http://pexmas.com/ - looks good. My love-hate relationship with Camberwell and Peckham is definitely swinging more towards the love end of the spectrum right now...

Kampung Baru is where it's at. KL during Ramadan is food heaven!
Let me know if you want specifics.

  • Not sure if anyones mentioned it, apologies if this has been covered elsewhere - Tour de France fan park starts next Monday at Wood Wharf, 5 mins walk from Canary Wharf station. Should be excellent spot for watching outdoors on a pretty jumbo screen and you have the added delights of sampling cracking grub such as Buttermilk fried chicken from my van, Spit & Roast. Bleeker Burger there too who are ridiculously good, Zan took her inspiration from Shake Shack and ran with it. Discounts of course to any forum peeps, ask for Ross. Hope to see you down there! http://tourdefrancefanpark.co.uk/ ps sun, waterside, high rise vista etc all included

I will be tapping you up nearer the time, trust me! :)

  • ^^^^ nice flyer

  • ^ Is it me or is that pasta shape pulling a really pained expression?

    No? Just me then :/

  • Today I made a almond tuile with black pepper caramelised pears, an almond crumb, rosemary and white chocolate ice cream, and a salted caramel sauce.
Served pretentiously as well, it was my first real foray into deconstructed tartes.
The ice cream stole the show.

  • I've deconstructed a few tarts in my time.

  • Beat me to it.

    Repped.

  • Any one know where to get legit Thai food (i.e. Jok, Kra Pao, Larb Moo etc) ? I am looking ideally for Isan cuisine - the more rough and ready the better...

  • Thai House on Strutton Ground? Haven't been for quite some time so not sure if they're still open.

  • Had a BBQ on the weekend, 2 cheap Morries frozen burgers, two flaps of processed cheese, cheap soft bun, creamy chipotle sauce, ketchup = a better double cheeseburger than I'd paid a tenner for in gastropubs

  • Speaking of burgers, found a new butcher near me in Taplow. Got him to mix me up some short rib, flank and marrow rough cut mince on the spot. Sooo much fat, they were an absolute treat...

  • Taplow.

HAHA! Cracking up at the way Brent says that

  • Get bent ;)

  • You know I've got a Winersh, Didcot, Yately.....

  • ALright it 's only Deliverance but possibly my dream job... Burger taster!
