  • It's mango season! get in!

    In London?

    It's always mango season somewhere

  • Scoble in talking-out-of-his-arse shocker...

  • It's always mango season somewhere

Alphonso mango is only in season for a couple months a year, been looking forward to it since last May.

Alphonso is a seasonal mango cultivation that is considered as one of the best in terms of sweetness, richness and flavor.

  • I'm on Whitecross St every day

    Chicken wrap from Iskele....lish!

    Yep love that wrap ;)

  • Once met this old guy in the 1960's on the beach at Barmouth. He kept fit by bowling at a single stump, retrieving the tennis ball and completing the over. He was into his 80's then. He accounted for his longevity and fitness by his daily diet of porridge. Was this the legendary mountaineer Bill Tilman?

Australian Bowen mangoes (sometimes also known as Kensington Pride) are the finest I've ever tasted... Sweetest, sloppiest deliciousness ever... Incredible...

I've never eaten a mango in this country that's come anywhere close...

  • ^ +1 on the Oz mango.
I just can't get on with the Alphonso...

Think I may have tried that before, any place in London I can grab them? (quite aware I may have missed the season).

  • Pakistani Sindhris are the one....

  • randomly, got one seat spare on my table 730 tonight for beard to tail if anyone's hungry...

  • It's Thursday. I'm hungover. Meatmarket beckons. Wiiiiiings.

    (it's wing season)

  • "What happens if you just eat crisps"

  • It's always wing season somewhere

  • Don't dig mangoes but I loved the look of Shelina Permaloo's food, she's got a book coming out

    ^this

Indian Alphonso mangoes aren't bad either.

Ice cold green Thai mango with a chili sauce is my favourite warm weather snack.

  • ^ Lish!

    Drizzled with coconut milk!

  • Burgerz last weekend. Using TS method fried onions in mix, aberdeen angus beef mince, salted post-patty. Boom. Oh, and homemade chips.

I had some of their wings before and did not get on with the vinegary sauce they use, what is it? Blue cheese dip was lovely.

  • Spicy Guinness mustard. The original recipie came out too liquid so I added more whole yellow mustard seeds to the brown ones to soak up the 'juice' a bit more.

It's got one hell of a bite but it should mellow out a bit more over the course of a month.

The blurry bits are due to me arsing about with Snapseed on the phone!

What happened to Mands' burger show down?

That is an unfortunate name for a chief!
