Try cooked off (and then cooled) blended onion mixed in with your meat... I can't go back to my old burger recipe, the onion does amazing things... Such a simple idea too...

Cooked not caramelised onions, just a small dice, sweated off to translucency. It does do good things to burgers.

^Babblejar is just down the road from my gaff, and agree with your assessment (not eaten there though).
Have been in there for a coffee and, on other occassions, for beers. Shite in both cases. Desperately trying to sit between hipster hangout and yummy mummy venue, and failing.

It's the pits. I complained that the beer was flat and the guy was indignant saying no one else had complained after I saw him throw pint after pint of foam away. Then after a long delay the food showed up. The beef burger was truly awful I'd rather to have gone to McD's - my friends said the same for the veggie burger.

- lentil or chick pea braise with chorizo
- epic saturday brunch, with fried eggs and corn tortillas
