You rip their heads off to eat their Arses... I mean it can't get that much more gross can it?
I would definitely keep them in a bucket and flush them with water for 20 minutes before boiling I reckon.

I've read that they are more active from March to September/October when it's a bit warmer.
I did say it was a bit early. I was genuinely trying to be constructive.

Went to Tas Pide in the end, very nice! Serviceable pide, interesting puddings. Not mindblowing but it's hard to have your mind blown by pide when you're used to the best (Dalston)

I've always fancied cooking cajun, but am limited to doing veggie (no fish or seafood) most of the time at home.
Chris, have you got any awesome veggie cajun recipe goodness for me to break my cherry on?
I realise that the above question may be an oxymoron.

Might be a bit early for 'em. Three of you could always go for a spit roast and reconvene in a month or two?

You could definitely make a Gumbo completely veggie or vegan, if you just threw in a few more veggies later on and maybe a meat substitute or two instead of the real thing.

hahaha
well, what one considers constructive is clearly very subjective. would have been a fun and pleasant thing to do whilst killing some time waiting for the lil' blighters to wake up a bit and crawl out from their dingy winter hideouts. i've clearly said way too much already and should stop.

clearly more oxymoronic that veggie advice is being given out by a guy named dracula...top of the food chain.

My veggie other half doesn't do spicy so I've never considered it to be honest. As dracula says you could make veggie gumbo but so much cajun food is built around meat with lots of seafood, freshwater fish, chicken & sausages. And it is very, very rich at times and I can't think of many vegetables that can stand up to some of the sauces. I bet you could do a pumpkin or sweet potato etoufee though.

That would seem to cover the savoury model. Don't suppose you have the science on why when i open a box of jaffa cakes, i keep going back to the cupboard til the box is empty? like nothing else.
