So today for lunch:
Beetroot and Red Shallot Tarte Tatin to start, with the tomato and vanilla jam on the side, and a Kohlrabi salad.
Then Mechoui Lamb with Syrian rice, sides of roasted (snips and carrots) and braised (mushrooms and leeks) vegetables.
Then sweet potato pie to finish. -

Pretty standard, but was really good pitstop munch.
Cracking stuff this. Maltby St market - Monty's deli. Salt beef and Pastrami special. Half a pickle short of perfect

Surely the pickle should be IN the sandwich not as a side?

It's toasted. I hate hot and limp pickle.
Much better cool, vinegary sweet with plenty of bite

I make my own salt beef.
Toasted is just wrong. But I go for the onion bagel, dill pickle, sauerkraut and mustard.
However. Thats how I roll...

I want to make rabbit lasagne but my wife won't eat Peter rabbit.
I think I'll just make then tell her afterwards what it was.
Made baked avocado cheesecake with a tomato and vanilla jam.
Was pretty good.
