  • Negril. again

  • I've been living on instant noodles.

    Fucking kill me.

  • Not that they aren't a wonderful invention, but 3 days in a row... fucken.

  • Just had chickpeas, kidney beans, a certain chickpea-based paste with the disputed spellings - all things I'm allergic to. Didn't die. Building up resistance? (in a particularly tasty couscous salad from a cafe downstairs)

I used to be violently allergic to most legumes, but particularly lentils and peas when I was a kid. The mere smell of them cooking would make my throat and airways swell up so much I struggled to breathe.

Then all of a sudden in my twenties, I realise I can now eat them. 100% fine, no problems and have actually become a staple.

Immune system is strange and unpredictable.

  • Been working on experimental hot sauce X brown sauce hybrid...

  • got a massive loin of smoked haddock reduced from quite a lot to feck all from morissons the other day and don't really know what to do with it.... any tips?

i can't be arsed with making a fish pie, would maybe do fish cakes though.

tempted to just have it as it is with some decent bread - if so, is it best poached?

never done haddock before and don't generally cook with fish much so don't have a clue what to do with it!

Supermarket smoked haddock or cod is REVOLTINGLY salty. The smoke is also not real, horrible artificial smoke flavour.

I thoroughly recommend you give it a good wash before you do anything with it to try and remove some of the salt.

  • ^^Isnt that called reggae reggae sauce?

  • I'm going out tonight with a couple of mates to Old Street/Shoreditch. Is Red Dog Saloon actually any good or are there better places around there?

  • Dinner.

  • Eating on your knee's?!

  • My parents are coming down in 3 weeks and want to take me out for a 21st meal, there'll be 5 of us, theyre staying near old street im in camden so somewhere near either or inbetween.

Neither - Tables are for plastic scousers living in North London - luckily I support Arsenal.

  • Educated, well brought up individuals with manners eat at the table. Ferral kids, gypsy's and single Mums eat off their knee's

  • Haha.tune into great British bake off edscobles all over it.

  • I'm watching it....Sue Perkins gets right on my tits!

    Who makes judgements of others?

When she said thats the best bike I've ever tasted could have sworn she said that's the best dyke I've ever tasted.

  • you're a lesbian trapped in a man's body,

    i say man...

  • ^^Isnt that called reggae reggae sauce?

Reggae Reggae sauce is weak as piss. Nasty sugary gloop which is not a hot sauce at all. A bottle of reggae sauce probably has 1/4 of one chilli in it per bottle. A bottle of my stuff will have around 20 scotch bonnets in it.

    totally different thing.

  • The masses don't like their heads to catch fire when they consume "authentic" condiments.

  • Ended up poaching it and having with some toasted sourdough and poached egg, was pretty darned good. Not good enough to pay the 3 quid Mr WM Morissons originally wanted for it though.

Didn't seem too salty to me...
