Pea but...
Last night I had 'The Devastator' @ Red Dog Saloon
It's delicious isn't it?! Although a little sickly after about 2/3's I thought. The banana and peanut butter milkshake is also delicious, and the onion strings are good too.

Ahaaaaaahhahha!!! Dooks! Your wife RULEZ!!!!
How???!!!! Did she grill it instead of baking?!
-

Honestly, I think the mixture was a touch too wet and the oven a touch too low but mainly the cake tin was just too big and specifically way too deep. So when it came out of the oven, it smelled great and looked great. turned it over to put it on the cooling rack (grill tray as you can see) it cracked and the hot liquid innards splattered all over the floor like an afterbirth. Grim.
I have to say the goo tasted GREAT though.
Second effort took nearly twice as long to set in the middle . Checked that one with a skewer and was rather good.*
*apart from the burned bottom. Please don't tell her!

Octopus is shellfish, as are all Cephalopoda.
No, it is a *cephalopod mollusc* (Octopoda - "Eight legs"). Not all Cephalopoda have shell, nor can they be called Shellfish.
Octupus is a mollusk. -

Just baked some no knead bread. Although, it was slightly too crusty and a bit dense. More time to rise, methinks.

Octupus is a mollusk. Not disputing the fact that it's a mollusc as Cephalopoda are a class of the phylum mollusca . Correct, very few Cephalopoda have shells ( nautilus being one obvious exception) but this doesn't mean they can't be blanketed under the term "shellfish" in the culinary world ( this is the food thread after all). If you were to apply your logic here then surely shellfish would literally mean fish with a shell which of course would rule out everything we currently class as shellfish ( prawns, crab, oysters ).
I think "shellfish" is a very loose term though and this is just my opinion.

That's why you should call it "SEAFOOD" in the 1st place, imo.
That's what the culinary world tends to do. :) -

And they don't sheathy, no-where.
Octopus always comes as FISH or SEAFOOD.
Never SHELLFISH. -

Myself, Tenderloin, and some other people from work went to Flat Iron above the Owl and Pussycat last night. It was good. I'll let him post photos as he's gone Instagram crazy since he got an iPhone.
