  • where is good to buy game

i am doing a game pie on Friday, I have a pheasant but want some other things to add - possibly venison, boar or other game bird

looking for things that would respond to a slow cooking process so rough cuts on the bone are not a problem

I'd stick to venison myself, I've found it matched pheasant well.

I'm allergic to lentils but I still find the prospect appealing.

    nuknow loves lentils.

  • ^I could go and have this for lunch

  • I like the disclaimer:

"risk of food borne illness" - like heart disease.

    Where can I get this?

  • Where can I get this?

    THis

  • No fries? Tight bastards.

  • Hello food/coffee freaks,

It's been now about 1 month that I've been helping my mate, Lo, in his little gem of a cafe - Bird.

Bird café is located in Dalston, for those of you bothered enough to get a good, decent, worth every pence, cup of brew.
We're serving Climpson&Sons (default), Andronicas and Nude (<ususally only weekends).
There's also a variety of sarnies and baked stuff, the good news is that I'M DOING ALL THE BAKING!... 8D
so yes, most of the stuff I've posted to FOOD thread, is being served at Bird.
Muffins, brownies, toasts, melts, weapons, honeys, smoothies...you name it.
Don't be shy, come by, we're trying to make it more bike friendly, trying to figure out a way of having
our own racks/vases outside but the council is a bitche.

location: 52 Boleyn Road, Dalston, Hackney N16 8JP

LFGSS friendly, if you ask for your coffee followed by "do a skid!!!", that's 10% off. ;)
You're all welcome you bunch of hipsters.
    Laters.

  • Sorry for duplicate posts, but it's justified.

  • next week I will be taking up residence there on my days off - poor old nuknow will have me ordering things one at a time wiht a csrah kriz "do a skid" yell

  • I'm gonna head down over the weekend I think Nuno.

    Will there be clafoutis?!

  • I've already copped off with Khoo.

    Way ahead of trend...

  • Had a slap-up at Needoos the other week.

    MOTHER OF GOD.

    Where can I get this?

    It's a BBQ place called:

Doc Crow's Southern Smokehouse and Raw Bar

    Unfortunately it's in Louisville, Kentucky.

I went last night and had beef brisket, pulled pork and baby back ribs.

Sides were fries, fried green tomatoes, fried okra, fried onions rings (seeing a pattern here?).

Washed down with Stone IPA (awesome but quite strong at 6.9%). The waitress was trying to persuade me to have one of their draft ales which was 10%. I thought it might not be such a good idea

  • Here she is in Penguin the other day

  • Thank FUCK she's not vegan, btw

  • Been in Italy all day today, had 4 types of Baccala

    7 over 10

  • . Can be found sometimes in oriental stores.

For the past few weeks I've been sending portfolios to places in the southern states in the vague and probably unlikely hope that they'll pay for me to come out there and work for a month or two so I can commit the food equivalent of Karoshi.

  • U Jelli bro?

  • Is there a rage face for "yes. very."?

  • it is time for the smoker to be unleashed

perhaps an early independence day bbq to celebrate my return

  • I like

  • how about may bank holiday?
