  • good call, decided to make some as well

  • How's it taste?

  • Not yet but my friend whom I cooked with at Moro then he went to Morito is now at Copita.

He has told me that it is very good. Tad pricey but good.

It's the problem with the food for fort blog. He makes me want to eat everywhere. I think I may try it this week, if I can find an excuse...

  • ^^ freaking awesome, im currently trying to stop myself just eating it all on it's own.

Next time will try it with a bit less sugar (didnt have maple syrup so used extra) and try some coriander seeds and paprika in the mix.

  • I also need to eat there sometime.

Pear and chocolate crumble in the oven now. I had to use all the pears I had as they were going off so ive ended up making 3 times as much as I need....

  • I predict some digestive issues...

  • Sounds lush, well into pears at the mo...the boy loves them so I've been necking them

  • Cheers, it was pretty damn good. For the crumble topping I just used crumbled up chocolate digestives with a bit of extra chocolate and butter.

  • Some good stuff on this page. Bacon jam in particular advancing the hardening of arteries everywhere... ...on a similar note, I fired up the wood smoker for the first time this year and did [Pulled Pork again:

  • Ooooooooh you mucky cunt!

has made into badge, wears with pride forever

    :-)

  • went to loch fyne. ate all the seafood.

For starters corse mackerel pâté and whitebait with some excellent Prosecco.

Then for main Lobster Gratin with some nice muscadet (which i drank quite a lot of)

also had caramelised lemon tart but I was too much of a fatty and forgot to take a photo before i'd eaten it.

  • Looking at that photo, i now want more whitebait, infact i want a whitebait and homemade tartare sauce sandwich. why don't more chippys sell whitebait

  • Whitebait is lish

  • Ate at the Drapers arms on Friday for lunch. I was impressed by the food, but it did feel a little 'fancy' for pub lunch.
Double egg, was an impulse thing, as I saw someone getting one of the scotch eggs - after I'd gone for the steak tartare.

  • Got a chocolate and earl grey fudge cake in the oven. Pictures once it's iced

  • just put a mousakka in the oven. no idea how it will turn out as I'd ran out of almost everything i was sure I had at home... It even has chickpeas in there

  • nice picture!

Did this get as far a being iced?

  • went to loch fyne. ate all the seafood.

Is this the chain, Loch Fyne?

I went to one in Norwich. Was not impressed.

  • nice picture!

Thanks, it was pizza made with these as bases, one tomato/mozzarella/prosciutto, one tomato/mozzarella/salami and one pesto/mozzarella/chicken. They were delicious! The bases crisped up nicely and they ended up really similar to proper woodfired pizza.

Yeah, they used to be independent, but I have a hunch that green king might have taken them over now. I've been to this one before, its always been good. obviously it's hit and miss

  • Whitebait

Super Fish near Waterloo does an awesome portion of Whitebait.
