  • In Italy again. Minus 8 outside but just had an amazing lunch at a little trattoria out of town (Osteria Turbina, Via marignana 124, 31021 - Mogliano veneto). We had Polenta Sopressa, Radicchio e Gorgonzola to start... \shitfonepic and I'd already taken a bite.
    Followed by Cognilio al forno with sautéed turnip greens. Raboso, a slightly sparkling red. Little sleep now I think.

  • I had lunch at Jose in Bermondsey St today.

    Sea bream, fried chorizo, gambas, croquettas, patatas bravas and jamon iberico.

    I spent 3 weeks eating my way around the basque country and this is the best tapas / pinxos I've ever eaten. Especially the croquettas, order a portion each.

    Gave the sherry a go - never been my thing, but then I've never been anywhere with a selection chosen by such an enthusiast, andwhen in Rome... Still not my thing.

    I recommend.

  • Made filo/apple/rose syrup puff things.
    Tasted good, needed cinnamon.
