I have broken many XA flashes. You can usually get them BIN on ebay for about £12 or about £3 if you're patient enough to wait for an auction. Considering how easily they break - I don't know if splashing out on an a16 would be worth it.

Yea there was an auction on eBay.de tonight - both A11 & A16, plus an XA2, all in mint condition.
Package went for under 15 Euros, I watched it till the last seconds and then said "fuck it", as I believe I wouldn't do much with the combo of XA & flash anyway. -

I find them to be perfectly fine, with the XA series, the only thing i wish was that the flash was already to be built into the XA series, here's a ridiculous photo using the flash its alright i suppose.

People on the street and waste containers, huh.
This will look like I'm a fanboy of yours, when I post pictures of my latest roll later / tomorrow.Creepy
Nice.
What camera / film is this stuff? I'm guessing Fuji or Agfa?

Thanks for your feedback.
Yeah I guess they're all right. If I can get one real cheap, or the opportunity to borrow one, I'll definately check them out. What I'm after is daylight-fill-flash mostly (I don't do a lot of flash when it's "too dark to shoot without" as I don't like the look much, and particularly the XA would be impossible to focus in the dark anyway) - and I have read mixed opinions on how well XA's handle this.
In general, my decision is basically to not invest any money in film equipment any more except if it gives me more possibilities or more image quality than I already have.
So there's a sweet, compact rangefinder with a killer lens, and an "advanced ambient light balancing auto GN Flash system", alas a bit harder to find than a XA / bit more expensive if in good shape /serviced...

I've been a long time lurker of this thread and always see some really nice shots. I thought I'd finally contribute with a couple from my trip to California last month. Both on cheapo Agfa Vista.

Like both of them.
Really want to go to California soon. What camera did you use?

I remembered I had an old photobucket account which I've not accessed for 5-6 years, found these which were taken about 10 years ago with my Pentax ME. I'm going to hunt around tonight and see if I can find the originals, I'm sure the scanner / my lack of understanding at the time didn't help with the overexposure.
