    come now! pedantic much?

I think he used some Kodak stuff for this, or a roll which I gave him called Tudor.

  • I have an EOS 100 that I use with lenses I share with my 40D.
I've shot some kodachrome 64, and some other cheap films.

  • ^ some really nice shots there. The only thing I dislike about flickr is how small the photos are.

Click on the link (above in Cedywedy's post)

Click on a photo on the right (from the little square thumbnails)

When the photo pops up - just above it to the left is a little magnifying glass ('All Sizes').

Click this and then choose whatever size you want from the available sizes.

  • Cheers Monko, you can also view the set in a slide show which will adjust the size to you window. I love flickr, but it only gets good when you know where are the buttons are and getting used to it.

  • Yeah Tynan I know about that haha, would be better as a default size.

I know what you mean Cedywedy, my stuffs here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/oliver-monk/

haven't updated in a while though.

  • what film+camera did you use to take these?

    The camera was a praktica.

The film was some fujicolour superia.

    Hope you liked them.

  • Some Russian porn for you.
I lie, this is far from porn and is a very cheap lens, but it's so tiny and fits onto my EOS 100 and 40D using an M42 adapter
    It's an Industar 50mm F3.5 pancake

  • Picked up some 120 today. Considering i didnt have a light meter they came out pretty good.

I had a couple of these. Probably still in my camera cupboard somewhere. They're fun, but ultimately not that sharp, and very slow for primes. Got frustrated after about a week of using them.

  • You bastards need to get yourself a D40 and stop polluting the water table and land fills with with silver nitrate, you bastards.

  • That one of Dilbred on the bed is really nice. D40 Tynan? D80 mate!

on your 40D, the 'field of view' will be equal to an 80mm lens with a depth of field of about F/6 (despite the speed of F/3.5), so what you see through the EOS 100 won't be the same on your 40D.

  • out of interest how does one get 35mm film to digital images ?
i have had copies of my sets from boots (prolly not the best start ! ) put onto CD but the images are really poor
do i need a conversion programme on my pc or something to view them clearly ?

  • just change labs, boots are known to be pretty crappy when it come to processing films.

a decent labs can scan them at a higher resolution, and the drum scan at the labs is always better, an example is my labs, Snappy Snaps at Marchmont Street, Bloomsbury is great for that, they even can scan medium format film in an hour if you wishes.

if you really want to get a decent scan quality, those Nikon Coolscan V ED are the best to go for, it make RAW files appear very limited in comparison to the sheer range of the scanner, it can go up to 21 megapixels, depending on the films though, poorly shot negative will appear even more grainy for instance.

  • D40 Tynan? D80 mate!

    You lot couldn't handle a D80.

cheers, the scans are a bit lol but I was pleased with how they came out. Im gona shoot the rest of my Pan F this week (on the Halina) and the rest of my 120 is gona be Hassy.

Need to raise some money before i can get them developed though D:
