Cheers.
Somebody gave me that lens (and an F3), because I had never shot either so far, to try them.
Can't really tell much difference to the cheap "Series E" 50mm I have to be honest;
maybe it's got a bit more contrast, but I guess you'd have to shoot them side by side.
And I completely forgot to take any pictures at 1.4 - what would be the advantage you pay the premium price for..

GR1s can no longer be repaired and are getting rarer on ebay. Massive first world problem as mine is dead.
Hexar is being a bit dodgy too.
Why cant they just carry on making GR1s?
Is it worth risking a 35ti from Japan for £150?

Definitely worth it, I paid similar for mine from Japan.
Best compact.

Sup with your Hexar?

Might look into a 35ti then... want something small for all occasions...
Hexar shutter is going a bit funny... sometimes won't fire... common problem I hear... easyish fix but not by me!

Considered Yashica T5's ?
-
• #8313
I have a t3 and its great... t5 looks good too but not into the plastic...

Have T3 and T4 atm.
T3 is great but big, and T4 / T5 are also great, but indeed I wish there was a non-plastic version of them.
Seems like they'll break if you drop them once... -

Yeah, and I can't deal with the Terry Richardson connection...

I'm sure there's plenty of other famous plonkers who have used just about every camera out there (although I doubt many have driven the price up so much as a result. . .)

The 35ti isn't as small as the gr1 but still fits in my shirt pockets :)

..it's been so long I last tried it I forgot how tedious it is / how bad I am at scanning black and white (with Silverfast AI; unfortunately my scanner does not support VueScan etc.)...
Did search again to no avail for fitting NegaFix profiles / general tips & tricks how to make it look "good".Is there anybody on here who has experience with this / can give me a useful link?
Specifically for scanning Neopan 400, but also general advice would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Anyone fancy buying my Minilux? Great condition... Champagne model... £220?
-
• #8322
If I may ask - if you want a great compact camera: why don't you keep / use the Minilux ??
-
• #8323
Bit worried I will break it... too precious... and I have found a black one which I think I would prefer... less obvious...
Found a great shop up in Scotland that has soooo much stuff. -
