Think about this next time the sun comes out and you've got ASA 400 or higher loaded..
; ]What is this "sun" you speak of?

Appreciate the fact people are still going new paths, but cameras made out of wood are not exactly a good idea I think.

Did finish the first roll with the Yashica T4.
(Spot) meter-and-reframe method seems to have worked; I shot on slide film, and 90% are exposed great.I kept shooting until the display said "38" - when it wound on after shot 37 it sounded like it's having a bit of a hard time,
so I didn't take another, pressed rewind-button, waited until it finished and frame counter showed "0",
opened the back, and voilá - like 15cm of film wasn't wound back into the catridge!
: [Is this normal?
Does it only rewind 36 frames, even if you shoot more?
(Why? So you can choose to leave the leader out for home-dev?)
I'm confused; the T4 Super manual above says the camera just automatically rewinds when it's done like most do. -

TK - how do you spot meter with the t4? Half depression of shutter while pointing at the spot and then reframe?

exactly

Where does e6 process for a reasonable price in central london? Struggling to find anywhere that does even process only for under £10.

Erm..
Yea, but that is proper wood, the other camera boxes looked like IKEA.

Thoughts on toughest point and shoot? Gr1? 35ti? Hexar? I'm thinking Hexar...
-
• #7894
mju ii will be tougher than them all but lacks the manual controls and is nor so mush of a 'premium' camera.
The 35ti feels more solidly built than the gr1 and they don't have as many quirks that end up killing them, shutter bug, lcd etc. I reckon the leica minlux or con tax t2 would be tougher though.
However if I was buying a point and shoot at this moment I'd spring for the fuji klasse W/T because being a current production camera there will be spares about for a long time to come and the company will be willing to repair them for at least 7 years after they're discontinued. You all get the positives of owning from new and having more advanced featured, programmed flash settings, manual film speed selection etc.

lol
Indra maybe worth posting for E6 development, afaik in London there's only pro labs doing it for pro prices. I set some to Ag a while ago who are pretty cheap.

Cheers guys, so Gr1's are known for not being robust? Wish I knew that before I let mine kick about in the bottom of my rucksack...
I already have a Minilux and I fear the E02 error too much to really use it and my wife has a T2 so kinda want something different...
Those Fuji's look good, might try and track one down... or the Hexar... hmm... -

Will probably post it off with some c41 too to make it worth while then. Got any examples of your slide shots?

Looking for furniture / product / interior photographers, this time for a shoot in Indonesia (Surabaya, East Java), anyone know anyone around there? Been looking for photographers in Bali but it's just loads and loads of wedding photographers...
Could work out though. England is pretty grey most the time and it's be my daily. For trips abroad where there is sun I have my minilux.
