  • isn't that just the stock photo you get when you buy a sterling silver picture frame from mr snappy ?

  • I'm sorry but I don't follow you.

  • ignore me .. it's still early and the tea isn't working yet

  • To clarify, this is the canvas (?) on the side of a big lorry, from a company selling (I think) bathtubs - this was on the other side of the lorry:

  • ahhh family bathing

  • Got a new scanner (imacon precision II) so decided to rescan the most recent MF frames and colour balance using colorperfect

shot in Valley of Fire, Nevada on a Mamiya 7 with Kodak Portra 160VC

  • That looks so surreal, lovely man!

  • Ta, I've always thought that the Mamiya 7 with 80mm lens was one of the most amazing combos out there, until I scanned it again with this Imacon. holeeee shit. thank god for ebay sellers who have no idea what SCSI is

  • How much did you get the scanner for?
I see there's one on ebay that went for £200. Fuck sake - that is ridiculously cheap!

  • Me puts hand up and smiles in an awkward manner ;) had to drive up to Liverpool to get it, so woke up at 5am and was in the road by 5:15. Got home at 12:07.

    Smiled all the way home

  • dibs if you sell (unlikely!!!).

  • I do have my flex tight photo up for grabs now...

  • £200!!! How is that even possible?! They had to drag me away from it at uni. Only had one behind a triple locked door!
As for the picture. That's surreal. Natural tones against the brutalistic path of the Tarmac. Stunning shot man.

What makes this picture is the way the shadow of the hill seems to be the continuation of the road. Nice shot.

  • im loving that shot!
