  • Dibs on that film!

  • 2nd dibs

  • in a desperate need of scanning a B&W film in London, anyone knows any cheap places? Developed at bayeoux (WAC prices) but scanning was really expensive there.

  • Could try Eyeculture on Fashion Street. Never had any B&W done there but they are pretty cheap and realtively quick. Failing that, you could try the lomography store at spitalfields. Again, I've never had B&W done I had a role of E6 dev'd and scanned there.

  • ^ how much do both of these places charge?

  • Eyeculture is 3.90 for dev+scan, gives 1500px ish jpgs. Not the best scans, but not bad either. Don't know what they'd charge for scan only I'm afraid, though I know they have a 'high res' scanning service as well, think that's around 6-7 with dev

  • cheers dude!

  • went through a roll at the Turbonegro gig last week. A compact with 28mm lens isn't the best camera for the task, but some came out ok

  • Thinking about selling some cameras btw, pm me if interested

Recently serviced Lomo lc-a in good nick
Been to Roger Lean for a complete overhaul and only had a handful of rolls through it since. Had a look on ebay and £50 seems like a good price

    Yashica Electro 35GT

Haven't been used for a while but had fantastic results last time I used it. Great camera that I should've used more... Comes with battery adaptor so you can use modern batteries and original bag. £30?

Will put up proper ads soon but thought I'd post here first

  • my tripod just broke and my lens is f'd ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • uh oh... pricey stuff as well?

  • ah man, this was literally 3 minutes ago, it's a fixed lens rangefinder, glass is fine but filter ring is f'ed and it's making a crunching sound when changing aperture

  • That sucks buddy, the electrics still working?

  • i've always used it without electrics, couldn't really find a battery for it because it was designed for those mercury types, ah hopefully i can get this fixed, anyone had any experience with http://www.cameracity.co.uk ?

  • Kboy, dibs on the Electro please.

  • all yours mate, pm to arrange pickup / postage

  • ^Looks like a still from the Mad Max set (other dystopian futures are available)

  • Well, he was a mucky sod wasn't he, may he rest in peace?

  • Just been to the Cartier-Bresson exhibition at Somerset House.

Really really good stuff. Some amazing street stuff in there. Though it sounds cheesy, it was like a greatest hits album, but in the best kind of way.

Really inspiring too. Had a photo lull the last few weeks, keen to get shooting again now

  • I've a few film cameras going cheap / for freecycle here:

  • Just been to the Barbican to see 'Everything was moving'. Some fantastic stuff in there, heartbreaking and eye opening.

But, as always at the Barbican, it's just too much. I was spent after about a third of the exhibition, managed to focus for another third, but the last bit didn't get the attention it deserved.

  • I usually make a round, see what's there, and see what grabs my eye,
then pick like 3 to 9 images, then spend as much time as I have just looking at those closely.
