  • ^ got an F5 from wiganwill last year... It is truly a beast but can be a bit much schlepping it around all day. It's my go-to camera for when its pissing with rain and snow.

  • Any advice on how to tone down a flash?

I read wrapping tissue round it or using masking tape. Has anyone had any experience doing this?

  • Cut the bottom of an old milk carton and tape that over the flash to diffuse. That's a really ghetto solution. Simply buy a diffuser like [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/JJC-White-Flash-Diffuser-Speedlite/dp/B0020ZG8Z4"]this[/ame] and it gets softer.

  • Leave it at home!

  • Works fine

Thanks very much Will. It was lovely to meet you, you should have said it was former property of tynan sooner, you could have got some more money for it!

  • And nice to meet you too. Even if you are quite uneccesarily tall.

  • How tall ARE you spotter?

  • 5'16" to be accurate

  • So not outrageous then... With all the fuss I'd have thought you were 6'8"...

  • 5'16" to be accurate

Shhhh ... we could have given Tenners nightmares. :)

  • I have a 7'2" mate. It wouldn't be much worse...

  • Just scanned a negative with my dads flatbed neg scanner. It took 45 minutes and the file is 1.54 GB. Will retouch it when I get home and upload it.

  • ...and here is said image. Had to clone-stamp a fuck-ton of hair and speckles though... Its also pointless scanning a 4800 dpi, at least on the scanner I was using; I think the terminal resolution for 35mm is less than half that.
    Anyway.

  • For people posting film off for dev, what's the kind of turnaround like normally?

bit of a piece of string question I know

  • With ag photo it was 7 days.
