  • A couple of shots from an old roll of Portra 160NC I finally got round to getting processed.
I seem to be having some real issues with scanning at the moment, I have been using a Epson V330 and it seems to have become a dust magnet, is using compressed air to clean the negs when they are in the carrier a bad idea?

  • lovely stuff, colours are great

  • Thanks. I was gutted about the whole Kodak debacle, will miss this film when it's gone!

  • I just bought new Portra 400. What's that like compared to the old Portra NC and VC?

  • slightly sharper and less grain I think?

  • have you ever used it?

  • I didn't know Kodak had changed the formulation of their Portra range.

Now that I've had a look at some online results, I can only say that it looks adequate. I adored the old 160 NC, and only used it in medium format. Haven't used medium format for some time though.

  • What do you develop it in? Picked some up today to use in an RB67 because of your post, not used it before.

Rodinol, very very old rodinol, probably 'expired' in about 2000/2002? But been stored in a basement, and it was free!
tend to dev at 1:50 and might try stand developing with this next round.
Love how I am influencing people ;)

Superzonik - 7! every time! I have a book by a guy who travelled russia from east - west and used only a 6 or a 7 and portra 160/400/1600NC. Was fooking awesomes, one of my fav photo books.

  • Few more from the last few rolls I got back the other day. Mix of OM1 and Yashica Electro.

http://imdabestmayne.tumblr.com (Sorry I don't just embed - they come out massive if I don't) and I'm not uploading to flickr at the moment).

  • Those are super nice kernowsibley, got any other shots from the roll?

    .

Ah, I did 1+25 today. Just about to have a look at the negs, loving that 6x7 format.

Really need to pick up a meter, lugging my other camera to meter was a bitch. Thinking of getting one of the later Weston Masters

  • Few more from the last few rolls

    really like the second one

  • really like the second one

Came out just as I'd hoped. Always nice when that happens!

  • My new toy,

  • really like the second one

    +1

  • I do but they were shot in a different camera ( switched the roll and forgot about it untill yesterday) Will put some up when I get home.
I haven't tried the new portra yet need to get on it before the stock dissapears.

  • Shooting a roll of Portra 160 for the first time at the moment,
and an Ektar is waiting in the refridgerator, haven't tried that one either, yet.
    Very curious.

  • Here's a few from a recent roll. All Olympus XA2 with Fuji Superia. Just got my hands on a Contax T2 so will experiment with that in the coming weeks and and post the results.

  • Love Beth Ditto. :-)

    But seriously, very nicely done.

  • My new toy,

Awesome, can't get the scale of it. 5x4 or?

  • APX 100

  • Awesome, can't get the scale of it. 5x4 or?

Yup 5x4. Only realised after buying it that my enlarger isn't big enough!

  • I've got an old camera which I was given in someone's will when I was 18.

Have never used it and doubt I ever will, so I want to sell it to a good home. Not sure if it's worth anything.

Does anyone on here know much about Ricoh's?

  • ^ Doesn't go for much at all on ebay, but a quick google says it's a good camera, so seems to be a good choice for a starter slr
