  • ^^^ I am also in need of a medium format scanner.
Damn things never become cheap. Really should have put more effort into trying to nick one of the uni's half dozen+ nikon 9500s, or blads or those weird imacon things*

*Legitimised because they hardly use them ;)

Just bought a small stash of delta100 120 whilst its still easy enough to get hold of (stopped production of it tonight?). I can't even put into words how much I love delta 100.

  • Are there people on here who have some 'advanced' knowledge of cyanotypes?
I played around a bit, using ammonium ferric citrate & potassium ferricyanide.
It did work ok, though sometimes the image washed right off the paper when rinsed.
Anybody got some good links on the topic?
    Thanks!

  • Just bought to 20 rolls of apx 100, amazing film for the price I reckon.

  • wow, lovely that, great light!

  • where did you get it?

speaking of film, can anyone recommend a good b/w film that develops as C41?

  • Ag photographic, £2.45 a roll!

    Ilford XP2 looks pretty great

  • Im running my first roll of Xp2 on my XA should have results by the end of the week!

  • XA+fuji c200
still not getting the results I was hoping from this camera, the focusing was dimmed so I black tape it as it says on the internet and focusing gets better but isnt as sharp as i was hoping!
Any tips/recommendations regarding focusing on the XA?
    cheers

  • Anyone have a 40mm Bronica lens up for sale? Long shot, but might as well ask!

^^ they're a bit tricky to get apart to clean the RF mirrors etc. A popular thing with normal RFs is to take top off, clean the mirrors, add a coloured gel (lightly coloured) inside the RF side against the front window, then black out/ felt the inside of the cap to avoid stray light/ improve contrast. Just cleaning them makes a MASSIVE difference. but with the XA its abit tricky to get apart to that extent.

  • Likewise I'm looking for a 24/28mm Nikon.

Looks sharp enough to me Nerd, C200 is only cheap film though isn't it? I sold my XA, couldn't get used to the focusing with my salad fingers

  • Ag photographic, £2.45 a roll!

    Ilford XP2 looks pretty great

cheers for that, gunna order a block for summer. Never normally shoot under 400asa so will make a nice change

  • Just been to poundland kodak color plus 24/200 £1 each

  • Shit film but good for a take a camera to the park or party!

  • Help needed here guys! Bought myself a canon eos 300 for cheap! As it was the only bid as blah blah! But no lens included, I thought never mind as I have a fe Pentax lenses and a eos adaptor ring for my 400d! However it does not work with the adaptor!
So I'm after any lens with ef mount for film cameras! For cheap preferably free I don't mind covering postage cost!
    Thanks

  • ^ just to make sure, you want a free lens?

  • Even tho I mentioned free ( sometimes people do have spare lenses and are kind people to give them for free) but I'm prepared to pay just not a lot of dorrah as isn't my main camera!

  • cool. 2nd dibs on any EF lenses going spare

  • ive had an eos300 for years now. was pretty beat up when i found it in a chazza shop vin and now its borderline wrecked. but still going.
its not a high spec model (infact i think its base?) but it has reasnoble evaluative metering. 4000/1 shutter and a timer. what more do you need from a compact 35mm af slr?*

*actually spot metering and a backlight for lcd would be useful

  • cool. 2nd dibs on any EF lenses going spare

3rd dibs. Only L lenses though.

  • So I'm after any lens with ef mount

I'm giving away a Sigma DL 35-80mm f/4-5.6. It has a 52mm Skylight filter and hood but is missing the front lens cap.

I've not used it in a while and am sticking to Canon FD.

  • im thinking about buying a nikon f4 as my digital slr is broke and kinda going through a film phase.

    anyone used it?

  • im thinking about buying a nikon f4 as my digital slr is broke and kinda going through a film phase.

    anyone used it?

  • I haven't used it but it sounds pretty special. I have used the F100 though which is sublime and a little newer. I think you can get them for about the same price. Worth checking out

  • As with Macready I've not used an F4 but the F100 is stunning.

Expect the F4 would be a bit more rugged but being newer, the F100 would probably win on AF performance and possibly metering too.

The F4 does benefit from the ability to remove the prism and fit a WLF though.

  • F4 has matrix metering so wins there. F100 has a shitty film door with plastic latches, breaks really easily unfortunately. Still, I would only swap it for a F6
