  • So I have this little lot (...) Do you want it?

Shit, I would love to, but I am a) too far away, and b) too broke atm.

Has anybody on here experience with cross-processing this particular film -

..or can recommend other medium format Slide Film for XPRO ?

  • hmm, xpro. always been a fan.

this is kodak elite chrome (iirc), shot with an ae-1 (50mm/1.4)

  • this one as well.

  • oh, and for shits & giggles...

  • ta!

  • anyone interested? film holders for 35mm/MF/5x4 - forgot if this came with the Epson or Canon flatbed scanner.

  • xpro is always fun, different films can react very differently depending on what else has been in same chemicals (though just about all modern C41 machines do not recycle chem's the same way older ones did) and the chem's used themselves, condition of the film etc. Crazy stuff, but always fun! Just remember to tell the processor you want them xpro'd and ask if thats OK as some (using older machines) it can taint the chemicals and potentially damage other peoples films (afterwards).

  • Yes want want want please. How much you after? posted? :)

Trying to get hold of a scanner at the mo, can't afford a proper one, so a decent flat bed is likely all I'll be able to get. Often the neg carriers are missing or broken.

Is it a neg carrier with glass in it or just flat on the bed? (picture not working)

  • £30 posted?

No glass - its just a plastic holder.

    (picture visible now?)

  • yup picture working, bit much for me I'm afraid. If it was a glass one I'd be all over it like a fly in beer :D
Looks like a canon set, as I've seen /used a few epsons and it doesn't look like any of those.

  • Canon I think, they look a lot better than the ones that came with my flatbed though.

  • Nice little article on Magnum and the dark room. Test prints are the best bit

  • I was taught printing by a former magnum printer called yurgos, he used to say things like "We must resolve the negative" in a strong greek accent, made him rather sound like a soviet submarine commander i thought.
