  • I'd check eBay's "sold" auctions, to see what people were willing to pay for it in the past.

  • Yes, but in this case there's sentimental value (to a limit of course)... I realise it's a luxury. I guess he'll decide when he gets an estimate from the repair peeps recommended above.

  • perhaps a question for @mi7rennie .. I have a Fuji 150mm 5.6 4x5 lens, it has a seiko shutter, I need to get a Toyo board for it, how do I know which board?

  • send it to mr cad, they have boards and the expertise to tell you what

  • I FORGOT ABOUT YOU, sorry

  • Just missed out on a RZ67 Today, really wanted it but also need it like a hole in the head.

  • @Oliver Schick
    Thanks perfect day for it

  • Someone I know is selling this om20 in very good condition for £50 with everything pictured. Is it worth that or should they be asking for more?

  • Hard to say without knowing in what condition the gear is and what lenses those are exactly but 50 sounds quite low.

  • got a macro and the fixed 50mm lens, also the telephoto is I believe 70mm - 210mm. The flash is original the om series plus a master and sync slave flash. Various filters (uv, lateral polarised, sky etc...) also some fade filters - all kinds of crap really. Probably zuiko lens I'd assume. But he's very much a James may kind of person so when he's says good condition I'd think it's very good condition.
Ok I'll let him know £50 isn't enough more towards £80?

  • There is a lot of this kind of stuff around on the used market, and the difference whether it's worth not much, or 50, or a lot more very much depends on what lenses they are exactly and what condition all of that stuff is in like I said.

Put it another way: if I would be in the market for a camera like that I'd like one in proper good nick with proper nice lenses, because otherwise the whole endeavour wouldn't be worth it.
I'd want to see detailled photos of all the items that show me exactly what I'd get, and that it's not got broken light seals in the camera, fungus in the lens etc.

  • I'll see if he can get better pictures. But like I said he looks after his stuff and if not he would have mentioned and damage/ fungus ect. Thanks for your reply though. I'll be sure to pass this information on to him.

  • Got my first roll of film back today and these are the ones that are worth posting or are in focus or not under/ over exposed.
First time using a film camera so was a learning curve for sure.

  • Nice, I like the snowy pine and the weir.
If you post 5 pics at a time they display inline.

  • Cheers, oh right I'll try that next time.

  • Saw an OM10, with similar lenses and manual adaptors for £30 on facebook market place and I thought about buying them to sell on. But then my OM10 is gathering dust.

I have a soft spot for olympus cameras, OM10 was my second slr after a practica B200.

Camera pricing is wiered at the mo. Friend sold a nikon D40 body no batteries or charger but boxed for £60. No way to test either.

  • Folder stuck to the negative and left this residue behind. Is there a safe way to clean it off or is the neg ruined now? Soak it in water?

  • Yeah, soak in warm soapy water and the try to rub residue of careully..

  • Have decided that maybe its time to get my own neg scanner and stop bugging my friends whenever i need it done. Any recommendations for such a machine?

  • 35mm only or other formats as well?

Either way this website is a good starting point in my opinion: https://www.filmscanner.info/en/Filmscanner.html

  • Unless you go for the pricey and hard to find Nikon ones you can probably do better with
photographing it with a digital camera. Will be faster too.

  • Hmmm OK, loads of info there.

Looks like I have research to do!

    Thanks guys!
