  • Good stuff.
    Lie first and last especially.

  • A few from my little Canonet rangefinder. It's a bit of a bugger to focus and the light meter doesn't work in manual so I often have to shoot in auto aperture when unsure. I guess I will get used to it but I do miss the ease of my Nikon FM2 :(

  • Looks as though it might have a light leak ? Frames 2&3 ?

  • Yes I think so. Odd it only happened on a few frames though. Will tape it just in case.

  • 1st one is really nice.

  • Lovely. Where is this?

  • This little guy turned up. So dinky compared to the k1000.

  • Yea might be good to check the seals / tape it in the meantime.

Awesome colours / light though in those pictures..

  • Looking good, especially in black, and in good condition like that! Hope it'll work nicely as well!

  • Thanks Jake. Italian Alps/Ortles region of Stelvio National Park. The second photo is the view from the hut on the opposite side to the glacier looking across to our next climb. The first photo is us hiking up that climb. Third one is from the bottom at the Messner Mountain Museum (very cool).

  • Ah, only just realised who you are :-)

Nice! I don’t think riding a bike in the Dolomites really lets you see the range in all it’s glory - the places I saw looked nothing like that.

  • Anyone recommend cheap slide processing London . Just realised, before I want to use it , that the 6 rolls of pre paid Fuji slide film I have been keeping in the fridge , is no longer going to be free to process. Tempted to do it myself ..

  • Think you'd probably have to send it off for it to be 'cheap'. Palm or Filmdev will cost something like £6-7 a roll with low res scans.

  • Thanks for the recommendation . Seems the pre processing expired 2014 . Getting kind of excited to be using it / worried that old film and older cameras (fm2) may create issues . My other half is super interested in photography so a good chance to get her back to basics . This is only happening as I Dave my Nikon dslr away to a worthy cause . Just need to find an app based light meter now , to double check the the Ttl meter ..

  • Will try and post the results here if it works out ..

  • FM2 should be fine, I use the older FE and have zero issues. My favourite Nikon cameras the FE/M series.

I've used myLightMeter and ASLightMeter apps and they've been pretty good for shooting with meterless cameras and verifying the meter in others.

  • Thanks guys . Any tips on exposures for shooting night sky would be great . Shooting Fuji 400 slide with the standard 50 mm lens . Tempted to give it 30 secs at least at f16 . But that is s big guess ..

  • Cant wait for film dev to finish servicing the machines the wait is killing me here.

  • Film dev it is
And I meant to say widest aperture on the exposure comment for Astro ohotigraphy..

  • Go digital if you are in a hurry.
