  • Thanks @nefarious, this is really interesting to see, at least colour-wise.
    Really can't believe that the Frontier is that much sharper than Noritsu by default though, there must be different settings at play.

  • Free bulk film loader. Need this gone and would be a shame to throw. Pretty sure I have a few canisters to go with this.

  • I like that.

  • @nefarious - frontier looks so much better for the portrait but i prefer the noritsu for the climber... Is the shadow info still there in the frontier?

  • The info is still there, it's just trying to jiggle the image around enough to use it - smashing the contrast right down helps. Going through them now, I feel like the Noritsu scans have a nicer tone but I've pretty much exclusively used the Frontier versions.

    I'm also slightly annoyed that my Yashica T4 shots always look better than anything else I shoot.

  • I've lost my t5 in the woods years ago. Replaced it with a mju II since prices for the yashica's have gotten ridiculous, but it really doesn't come close to the crisp shots i was getting with the yashica. Also i really struggle with the mjuII's autofocus. Here are some shots from my mjuII.

  • Yeah, really reliable autofocus, great metering, ridiculous sharpness and beautiful rendering of colours. So much richness and contrast.

  • Leica iiif, Portra 160.

  • Still no. Maybe just me...

  • No luck here either

  • I can see the first ones you posted

  • Actually, the T4 ones, not the Leica.

  • Got my first colour roll I put through the Mamiya back. Increasing the amount of duct tape seems to have mostly fixed the light leak!

  • Cheers @Poetic.

    @nefarious & @Föhn ..also check out the T3's if you haven't already.
    They do look coarse, but produce the same kind of images I've found. Oh and they're f2.8..

    @nefarious 8 and 13.jpg don't show for me either

    @BartCCH - very nice climbing shot! What Mamiya is this?

  • @ooooooohhhhhhh Cheers man! Its the RB67, this particular one is really beat up but still works!
    It's not the ideal climbing photo camera by any means.. I just need to figure a way of making it safe to have with me when I'm on a rope then I want to try and get some more climbing shots though.

  • ..is this nefarious' RB?

  • @ooooooohhhhhhh, I am not sure... I got it from Josh Greet off am instagram add for it. If that is who nefarious is then Si... If not then no

  • I was just wondering as he's the only nutter I know that takes an RB67 climbing..

  • Yea.. I dont think its a good idea.. But cool!
