I replaced the fork on my pompino with a surly lht 700c canti fork. Not only made it fitting a pelago rasket a lot easier, it also gives way better fender clearance. Geometry is pretty much the same, i like it a lot.
I got the same kind of reluctance and excuse from my optician in the Netherlands. I guess it's because they understand that if you're asking for your pupil distance, you're looking to buy somewhere else. There is no other reason for needing that number, but maybe there is something else to it.
If you have your prescription, aliexpress has quality glasses for good prices. I've bought a number of both titanium and acetate frames and have been impressed with most of them.

Get custom made ear plugs that are made for sleeping. Works better then anything else I've tried. Really comfortable and block out better then anything else. Mine are pluggerz custom sleep
I just bought hebie mudguards for my partners 26" bike. I got the hebie rainline, which go up to 68mm for 26". They looked a bit better then the standard bluemels but i haven't gotten around to installing them.
