  • compared to my other cameras it's also a rangefinder :-)

  • The Minolta CLE is huge? yes they are.

  • i thought the nikon compared to the minolta. no?

  • I like my olympus OM-20 / OM-G (depending on where it was released i guess)

    hehe OM-G

  • this is even bike related..sort of.

  • have you got any pictures using it?

  • if you want a compact camera to shoot film in and not worry about dropping it, get the Olympus stylus epic (non-zoom), for cheep, and you'll find it's an excellent camera for shit and giggle.

  • for that sort of jobbie i got this:

  • the first is pretty awesome, you need to catch some more businessmen looking terrified!
they MAKE cycling in central london

  • Since you got a brake, I wonder if it possible to put a cable release near the brake lever? because you could able to capture scared look of people who dare to stray onto the path of an oncoming cyclists, then squeeze the brake that also trigger the shutter to capture the moment.

  • Yeah, I need to get used to the wide angle. I thought I was pretty close to them.

  • Or scream "OI!!!" and quickly press the cable release to get people startled.

  • haha..yeah. I plan to mount a cable release.

  • My film cameras

    Nikon F5
    Nikon F4
    2 x Olympus OM2
    Olympus OM1
    Olympus XA
Olympus XA3(better and cheaper than a Lomo)
    Olympus Trip
    Holga
    Lomo Fisheye
    Smerna Symbol
Lomo thing that takes 4 shots on one frame
Kalimar Action Shot 16 (takes 16 shots, eight shots per frame)

    Have had:
Leica M7 (focusing annoyed me. film loading annoyed me, cost annoyed me)
Contax G1 (brilliant lenses, bad viewfinder)
Several Lomos (Hipsters priced me out of the market)

  • The best results I've ever had, were from my (both now gone) Olympus OM-1 system,
and Mamiya C33 systems. Love film, love manual, love mechanical.

Oh yes, the KX and MX were better than the K1000; but the K1000 was the most reliable.

  • I must have like 6 or 7 LOMO LC-A, ranging from 1989 to 2005, and I didn't pay hipster price on them at all!

  • ditto, prefer the ME Super but the K1000 was my first camera, it was nice and simple and pretty bloody reliable at that, build as a tank, it have a cult status as the best camera for first timer I think.

that's pretty much it really, I don't really love it that much thought, it's fucking huge and heavy after recieving the ME Super.

    look how small the ME Super is!!!;

Just to be a pedant, that's an MX rather than an ME Super, but you're right the ME Super (my first proper camera) was a lot smaller. Only have 1 film camera now, an EOS-1N RS but it doesn't see a lot of action nowadays.

  • Ah the ME Super is pretty much the same size as an MX either way.

I have the same Canon camera as well that seen a lots of action.

  • this was my first film camera

A Soviet Zenit E....I later had, and still do 3 more different Zenit's. As far as cameras they are crap, but i love their optics. They come with a standard 58mm Helios f/2 veryvery sharp lens, comparable to the 50mm nikkor. At a price of about 10quid for the camera including a lens i couldnt resist buy several and just have fun testing out different models. I often use their lens on my nikons with a pentax screw (same screw for Zenits) adapter.

  • I still use a Canon AE-1 35mm SLR, it is a fantastic camera, I have had it 25 years now.

My 35mm film set on Flickr, a few have been manipulated with Picasa software to crop or make black and white but most are as they were straight off the film.

  • my grandpa gave me a full AE-1 kit that he had since the late 80's!
got the body a whole load of lenses, coupla filters, triggers etc. all mint (he's a real stickler)
haven't been able to use it yet as I keep forgetting to get the battery for it (6V)
    i wanna use it now!
