Epic Success! :P

If you never puncture a tyre you are doing one of two things:
- Not riding enough
- Changing your tyres with wear to spare :)

Fuck off. All decent tyres, if left on the bike long enough will puncture. Twatenger

mine get worn out before they puncture, chunkenger

lightweight tyres without protection are typically really nice to ride on.. Nice light tyres are great for acceleration too.. They do puncture at times, but mostly when the road is wet. Because of that I run Marathon Plus this winter.. ;)

Can't believe you like Conti Ultra Sports Ed, worst tyre I've ever had the misfortune of shelling out cash for... I may as well just ride on inner tubes AFAIC... Total crap... Rubinos are OK, great for the price in fact, but they do wear out fast...
+1 Fitted a band new pair , punctured in under 5 miles. Epic fail.

Yes but... see haj's comment about running race spec tyres at this time of year.

any thoughts on the grand prix 4000S?

olo: It's a race spec tyre... So it's going to be really nice for fast riding. But I bet it's good at puncturing as well :)

cloth does'nt neccesarily mean wear to spare :)

I like them, they hold up pretty well and mine didn't puncture over the summer/autumn. Could argue that more expensive tyres are better made, have higher TPI etc,. which could help resistance while remaining light and supple.
Clearly they are no Marathon Plus but then I would rather not bother riding that use Marathon Plus...

if you're using the folding version, then yes they're generally harder to put on the rims than normal wired one. (any folding tyres can be a bastard to put on the rims).

All depends how big your rim is as there are variances in sizes I believe. I always find Open Pros quite easy to get tyres onto.

I took my faulty Some Everwear off and used one of my flatmate's worn out Armadillos on (for the time being, like) and I really like it!! Makes a really alarming scraping sound when I skid, which I really like actually!! Not sure I'm gonna get a Rubino Pro to stay on my H+Son, a normal Rubino wouldn't stay on the rim... Which is poo...

I always found folding ones much easier to put on than rigid. more flexible innit.

Anyone ever used Cadence Tyres? I've come across literature on them, but can't find a retailer here in the UK.
It's always, I repeat, *always *tend to be the stuff that shouldn't be on the road in the first place that punctured wheel.
