think im gonna do a big ride tomoro. i guess everyone else will be at work?
-

no trains back for us mr man! met riksta in corbridge where he was mingling with the rich and famous at the car show, had a drink at pub then set off back the same route. It's a good ride we'll have to do it again once your hours have swapped for work.

I was waiting for that , took me a while ...
Click START RECORDING , change it to "for cyclists", and double click to add markers and it joins them up
search for your start point first, with ,uk on the end, it's defaulted to america ca ca ca

edinburgh -> newcastle is just over 100 miles, but it's more hilly and not as nice as berwick -> newcastle i dont think.

the more i looked in to it, i think berwick is the easier and more realistic option.

note the single speed record (by a woman).
"The Great Divide Race is a self-supported, solo competition following the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. Traversing Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico, the route demands over 200,000 feet of climbing along its length. Competitors carry all equipment necessary to negotiate the backcountry, restocking on food and other supplies from the small towns along the route."
