Hello peeps. My internet actrivities have been slack to say the least recently and I've moved back to hexham which has made fixie craic a bit harder but I need to get out on my bike. My lockrings being giving me grief but i'm in the proccess of sorting that so if they're are any planned rides I'll try and get there. A couple of mine and the dr's friends have just purchased fixed too so they're desperate to get out and ride. I could be up for polo, day dependant but I'd also need to lend a mallet !!

we only have about 3 mallets now so, people need to make mallets!
like i say, i have 3, maybe 4 mallet heads worth of pipe left. I'm happy to make a few but I dont really have any ski poles/broom handles.
think there was talk of a ride on saturday if anyone can make it though?
-

If i can get a pipe head I'll find a broom shank or something to use. Saturday's a no-go for me due to work. What about a ride/polo one night next week ? Nights are getting a bit lighter...

firstly, hallo and after lurking on the forums for a few month, decided to register.
secondly, spotted someone on a single speed today by newcastle college, black bike with two grips on bare handlebars (that's about the limit I noticed. :D )and lastly, be aware of a black minicab driver, after flipping him off at a red light as he was revving engine/honking his horn (this was because the car in front of me stalled at the green light, I was waiting for it to move off), he then a few lights later proceeded to explain how no-one ever flips him off, offering me a broken jaw and to settle it on the street corner (this was near the police station on Market St.) but being in a cheery mood and not wanting a fight, let him blow hot air and laughed as he drove off, until at the next red lights he jumped out and seemed to be waiting for me to arrive, I made a U-turn and went on my way. There were two cyclists who passed him as he was getting back in(?) and maybe (Most likely) got some bile from him (Sorry).

Cool! I'm interested, just not too sure what I'll be doing on Sat.
At the moment I have an older Revolution Continental and an old Raleigh that'll be converted to fixed sometime. -

Spotted: Black frame, tiny risers with black grips, white ish pedals and clips, ghost walking past the forth.
Ride tomorrow if anyone is interested. 11am at monument.

Yo, can't do weekend, working both days, great to be back! Should be free soon though.
Here's the ultimate Shoreditch ice-cream cart. Small front wheel, track dropouts, red rear rim

doesn't get cooler than having a mutha fucking ice cream cart on your steed. i now know where my next pay cheque is going.....
four 80's downhill ski poles should be coming my way at the end of the month. should coincide nicely with the epic early summer i am optimistically predicting.

although my attendance of late has been shocking and my polo attendance evn worse, if we were to play is it possible we could do sundays as i work saturdays !?
-
• #594
i work sundays! (unless we play at 7ish)
hopefully when it gets a bit lighter we can just go back to playing evenings.

• #595
Week nights are def better for me. For what it's worth, I'm all in favour of resurrecting regular Tuesday night meets, then we all know where we are. A few more weeks and it might be bordering on light in the evenings.
We should have enough for some polo action right? Couple of weeks practice, Sparky's article in the paper, sunshine = winner.

-
• #597
Yeah, think I've still got two although one might have died at the end of last season - memory fail. Also may have a spare shaft which I'll try and dig out. Someone needs to get another ball - mine was only about £3 at some sports shop.

built up and done, been on a few rides with phil, but will be off the grid till midway through the week of the 15.
i haven't played polo before either, so no worries.
and happy belated, matt.
Guys, are you going to be playing polo anytime soon? The reason I ask is that I haven't had a game in ages, and also because I want to do a feature in the Journal or the Chronicle on it. Anyone up for it; bit of photography and some words from me? I've been playing in London for a while, but I'm on a four month placement up here with the local rags.
