Easter Monday ride!

Head out at high noon from the Monument.
General Plan is Morpeth then out to the coast and onto Tynemouth for fish and chips (and beer).
Jeans and Shirt pace rather than a lycra clad time trial speed.

I'm not actually sure where the route I'm taking ends up/goes through. Basically heading from Heaton, right through Gosforth and out into the countryside and hoping there will be signposts for Ponteland somewhere along the way.

Does that sound like it will pass through suitable meeting points?

I'd be coming from the other direction, Cramlington.
Could meet up in Ponteland and ride back into Newcastle for a celebratory burrito and a pint at the quayside?

I have no idea what the best way to ride to horsley from town is... probably something that follows the river to wylam, then up?

I've never been to Ponteland but on the map it looks like a possible meet point could be outside the entrance to the golf club. It's on the outskirts, should be well signposted and it doesn't really matter which way you approach Ponteland, you should still pass nearby.
If you set off around 12.30, how long d'you reckon it'll take you to get to Ponteland? I've also sent you a PM with some important info.
