i keep thinking about shadowing the tdf.
doing the same route straight after the pros go thro.
old school. no support vehicles. just a few mates on bikes. see how far we can get round.
does anybody know if this happens ?
Some UK bloke did it 24 hours before the Tour came through last year with his mum as team support in a van.

Goals to lose more weight, keep taking the long way round on the commute, start flirting with 50+ mile rides at the weekend and build/buy a geared bike that won't look ashamed parked next to the blinged out Bob J.

to get to / from work without some white-van / BMW driver trying to start a fight with me. Had one actually get out of his car and come towards me yesterday looking for a fight (right by polo courts in fact)
That's why you do 100 push-ups daily, and have a Mini-D in your back pocket? :)
Btw, after doing this season's first 4 100km+ trips.. I have noticed that my kicks at the "self-defence" class have become way better ;)

What do you want to do on your bike[s] before you die
Keep taking risks and getting away with them. -

I want to get my cycle fit properly (possibly professionally?) dialled in this year - especially feet/knees.
Become bike-money self-sufficient (ie. make enough money from bike-related stuff (probably wheelbuilding) to pay for my bike-bits addiction)
Do a bit of touring - possibly to Paris & beyond
Do the DunRun fixed
Become comfortable getting up Ditchling Beacon, fixed

Remembered another. I'd like to to do PBP and / or LEL at some point. Preferably fixed for extra hardcore points.

thanks double tap,
very interesting.
anybody interested ?
My cycling goal is to be physically capable of riding a bike until the day I die. Pretty simple, really.
