  • Will be voting green too. My first ever vote :)

  • Noob!

    ;)

7am I think so I can forget about it.

  • are we allowed to influence votes on the day of the election or does that have to stop 11:59 on the night before ?

isn't there some law regarding this or is it just the politicians and the media who can't say anything about the election on the day ?

  • VOTE PEDRO!

    awaits SWAT team

  • Heartening to see how many Green party posters in peoples windows there were around my area, hope it transfers into votes. They got mine anyway.

  • Do go and vote.

There may not be (m)any good candidates, but there are a fuckload of racists and mentals on the ballot.

  • I voted just after the Poles (see what I did there?) opened at 7. UKIP ftw! Go home forruns!

  • Do go and vote.

    This.

For some reason I've got a bit of a tiz about these euro parliament elections. I blame all the fucking publicity the guardian has given UKIP. If they win, its basically because of all the exposure they've got from the papers obsession with farage.

  • Unlikely. Most UKIP voters don't even know what a guardian is. Don't forget the Beeb has had him on newsnight more times than any other politician. They don't even have an elected MP! The greens do. But were's the story in that?

  • Where were are all the Trots? Not even a single the Marxist-Leninist? What is this? Was forced to vote Green.

  • Not even the Workers Revolutionary Party? Damn!

  • Not even a Real Workers Revolutionary Party!

  • Never voted Green in my life 'til today... #theonlyoption

  • ^ Same.

There's a real gap in the market for a proper left.

  • It's weird, that current 'gap' you talk about has totally invigorated my political compass... #notaeuph

The Green Party's policies are socially responsible, common sense policies... Total no brainer...

  • Green .. #theonlyoption

  • There were 10 different variations on UKIP on my paper including one that doesn't even like the Welsh. I can imagine that if you're a xenophonic half-witted fucktard it could be very confusing which particular cunt you should choose.

I drew an extra box at the bottom of mine so I could vote for Monty Brewster.

  • There was one on my ballot paper for somebody called "Harmony" or something like that, who were (as far as I could tell) a party that wanted racial equality along with hating immigrants.

My mind was well and truly boggled.

  • Fuck off Greens!!

  • I loathe all of these cockwarts so much. Almost equally. Almost. Will there ever again be a great political leader in this country?

Dunno if anyone saw it but there was a good article in the granuaid about the genuine leaps that the greens have made but unfortunately NONE of the media see fit to mention this, instead opting for the lazy cop out of categorising them as 'other'....you know that place where the extremists lie.
It struck me then that our politics have finally started to mirror xfactor: where it's not enough to be good/decent. You have to be massive or monumentally bad to get mass appeal. Without derailing things here, it is thanks to the mainstream that ukip will probably make some strides. I just wish there weere more like James O'brien to take these idiots to task.

Not much of an advert that, is it?

It struck me tonight how old fashioned and low-tech the voting system is. You take a card you got through the post to some school or civic centre where a woman with a perspex ruler goes down a long list of names on a sheet of paper before you are handed yet more paper and go in to a plywood booth where you use a pencil on the end of a string to mark an X. Then you put those papers in to plastic boxes with little slits in them. Which are then collected and the contents poured out on to long tables before being sorted and counted by hand.
This is not what comics in my childhood told me the future would be like.

  • It's weird, that current 'gap' you
    ed my political compass... #notaeuph

this the general "I'm totally fed up with the main political parties....but voting green is a waste" public we're talking about. Most dont deserve the right

Surprising considering how many UKIP signage I've seen littered in South Wales.
