Funny but that Revolution pump looks identical to IceToolz one as well :)
Aye I reckon a lot of the budget ones will be re-branded versions of the same design.

FYI, Condor have got track pumps on sale at the moment.
Here: condorcycles.com?
Either all sale pumps are gone already or me looking at wrong place. -

Spend a bit more and get a Topeak Joe Blow, they last and you can replace the head when the washers wear.
-
• #131
Accept no substitutes
so get a silca then?

I recommend the Topeak Joe Blow Max, very good for £25
Buy shit, buy twice

My £10 P-X pump lasted a good 5+ years. The Luftwaffe thing I replaced it with cost fucking 10x as much by the time it had everything it needed to inflate disc wheels properly. PITA.

sks rennkompressor solid steel construction german built
trouble free for 6 years still working as day 1
they even sent out free replacement rubbers as they wore out, for the section that attaches to the inner tube ... you do get lots of wear at that one specific pointbuy quality and it will see you right in the long run

Haha do true!

Ordered Bontrager reCharger pump after noticing that Icetoolz, Revolution and some other identical pumps made by same OEM now have single head instead of double in previous revisions.
Had a better look at it yesterday and I must say that I'm happy with my choice. Feels like quality product to me. Love it's double head. -

my joe blow pump is on its way out, it squeals and slips when pumping
what is the @mdcc_tester tester approved pump?
-
• #140
I think it might have been covered in tester_approved thread, but SKS Rennkompressor for HP and SKS Aircon 6.0 for LP.
-
• #141
yep, just found that on the tstr aprvs thread
cheers

I recently bought two new Rennkompressors. Very disappointing, the seal between the plunger and the barrel is poor and there is no way of adjusting it, it is totally different to the original which is still pumping after 25 years with little more than a dab of fresh grease on the seal.
I sent them back.
I replaced them with a Topeak pro which is OK, and a Lezyne alloy floor drive, but the gauge has failed on the Lezyne. I really wouldn't recommend either. -

I am a big fan of my Rennkompressor, I just wish the dial was larger.
-
• #144
I've been very happy with the Lezyne one. I like the fact that you can screw the nozzle onto the valve. No problems so far after more than a year of good use.

Lezyne are good with warranties, we use two of the travel drive pumps for work, both of the gauges went after a lot of daily use, sent them back and they repaired one and replaced the other.

Zipp crack pipes - is there anything better? I fucking hate mine but it's the only thing that will fit in my disc wheel. Think it needs a new rubber bit but I'd rather buy something else altogether.

Favourite ever is the original blue Zefal Plus double-shot track pump, but they are no longer available (though replacement plunger washers still can be bought new).
My current favourite is the SKS Rennkompressor with the EVA head, the only drawback being the choice of dial-face colours and fonts which make it harder to read from above.
[Edit: whoops, enthusiastically joining this zombie threat for appreciation of track pumps. ]
@hippy, other crack pipe heads include that by Silca, also the compact lever-type ones of Hirame from Japan and another from Silca might do.

@Nick_S I have an SKS Rennkomplainer and I hate it. I sold the EVA head because it doesn't fit. It's the Renn I've got the Zipp crack pipe on.
The Silca looks exactly the same as the Zipp. I assume they're the same so I might be able to use the replacement Silca elastomer in Zipp. But I still hate them. I've had two Hirame copies in the past and they're too big from memory which is why I swapped to the Zipp.

It sounds like you have pretty much exhausted the options. Maybe just fit the new rubber to the Zipp and move it to another model of pump, e.g., Lezyne?
Funny but that Revolution pump looks identical to IceToolz one as well :)
