-

it's Uniqlo, also they don't do skinny enough ones in selvedge unless you get them tapered or roll em up!
-
• #382
not jeans exactly - got some regular dickies that i wear all the time - never had any torn gussets, and exceedingly comfortable!
-
• #383
+1 for primache
if you buy their 'skinny' jeans, they have elastic sewn into them, so theyre comf!
i just buy them like 2 sizes too big, so you i dont look too much like a twat -

I never used to see the point in spending loads of money on jeans, but after returning to them from a 10 year hiatus, and wearing through a cheap pair of H&Ms in a couple of months, i have since bought Levis and must say im a total convert, you get what you pay for in comfort and in quality.

I have two dark blue suits and one charcoal grey suit (and a brown suit, but I last wore that on Objects Grand Slam in a Day birthday ride, so lets discount that one).
A black bag will go with all of these, a brown bag would look wrong with the charcoal grey suit.
Black bag for the week, brown for the weekend.
Or get a job where you can turn up in jeans. -

fashion jeans are made from thiner weak denim and wear quickly, work jeans are not, but are not as soft. You pays your money you takes your chance.

• #387
where do you get work jeans from???

Agricultural and builders merchants. Some of them are brand named, like lee cooper, others are some bizarre names you have never heard of, but the definably feel thicker to the touch and seem to last longer IME. I've got some uniglo jeans and they are defiantly thinner.
I think Lee cooper are good as they have proper ones for the cow boys so are made for tough wear.

I am notorious wife-beating scumbag Chris Brown, and I only wear my own exclusive designer range of jeans:
I just battered Jean-Paul Gaultier in this photo because he pointed out that the stupid flappy bit might interfere with my chainline.

Picked up a pair of Osloh bicycle jeans at the Bike Expo in Munich last month. Not only are they great for cycling but they are about the best fitting pair of jeans I've ever owned. You can buy cheaper jeans but it's the nice little details and good quality denim that justifies the investment, IMO.
I won't list all the features because you can look for yourselves at osloh.com
Also, the guy behind Osloh, Shawn, is a genuinely nice bloke - not that this should be the main motivation for buying the product - but it's nice to know that you're supporting a good company

^ are the waist sizes large or small and do they stretch allot after wearing for a few days?
-
• #392
I'm 34L and they seem a pretty good fit to me. Waist size seems right. More importantly, for those of us with unfeasibly long legs at least, they are long enough. I think they do a pretty good range of waist/ length sizes.
In terms of stretching, they have something like 2% lycra. This means that they give when cycling but retain their shape.

Anyone ever had jeans that don't wear away at the crotch?
-
• #395
i have some primark jeans which have lasted 2 trips to brighton and loads of journeys around london, and have had virtually no wear
-
• #396
uniqlo, primark, but the best for me are Dr.Denim. Plenty of stretch in dem.
-
• #397
Cost is 99 USD or 94 Eur from their agent in Germany (osloh.de). I think they're planning on getting more stockists in Europe so wouldn't be surprised if they'll be a shop in UK stocking them soon.
Regarding problems in the crotch area, the Osloh jeans have some sort of suede type liner sewn-in. Makes them much tougher but still comfortable

Levi's for me, heavy duty ones. Not the best jeans to commute tho.
uniqlo, ...Plenty of stretch in dem.
^True, plenty of stretch but not enough.
Bought myself a pair of Selvedge ones (around x-mas), really nice fit super comfy, a bit over a month in and the crotch started ripping, it's 8 months now and can't use them anymore, totally ripped apart, starting from the crotch. POS jeans.
I actually tried on a very nice pair of jeans - Nudie - straight leg and waxed, meaning - waterproofish. - On sale £39.99. -

I was wondering if anyone on here has got a pair of Uniqlo's 'wind-proof' jeans and whether or not they're any good for riding in. Part of me would like to keep the cold wind out at this time of year, but the polyester side makes me think they probably make you sweat like a good one.

Depends what you eat - I personally favour chillied pulses at this inclement time of the year, ain't no denim gonna stop me leaking a foul vapour everywhere
I adjusted most of my trousers/jeans to what is now know as the carrot top shape about 3 years ago.
However it is still pretty annoying because mens jeans/twill trousers do not stretch. The only ones that do are ones from places like topman which are lo-rise hipster style which will in no-way accomodate my mighty gluteus maximii of awesome.
