I have two dark blue suits and one charcoal grey suit (and a brown suit, but I last wore that on Objects Grand Slam in a Day birthday ride, so lets discount that one).
A black bag will go with all of these, a brown bag would look wrong with the charcoal grey suit.

The new carrot shaped Nudies (Big Bengt) look ideal for cycling - wide at the top for your MIGHTY THIGHS OF AWESOME, tapered to the bottoms so rolling one jeans leg up is not necessary to prevent unwanted chain/trouser interaction.
I have a pair of Wranglers in this style which are an ideal shape but the quality of denim is gash. The last Nudies I had were actually quite well made.

Also if I see someone wearing a suit with a brown pair of shoes, brown bag and a brown belt, I immediately start hatching a plot to ensure their downfall. Such a studied look.

Carrot shaped jeans?
That's crackers.

your link isn't working anymore, but were they Route One jeans? the slim ones are 40 quid for two so how is the quality?
The quality is decent enough. I've had a couple of pairs for 2 months and they're still fine. Pretty shitty looking stitching but seems to hold up.
You can wear brown shoes at work. They need to be dark though and paired to a blue suit.

slight resurrection, i have just found that the CK jeans i bought in feb have a massive hole on the arse/crotch area. I need to find some why to fix them, find alternative long trouser types (like cargo trousers) or new jeans. I have an issue that most styles of jeans cant fit over my legs (thats why i bought the cK Jeans as they were the only ones ive found in a while that look like jeans but suite my shape). I hate the thought of changing from cycling shorts to jeans cause as a social rider going to social events, you cant really change in the queues and carrtying extra clothing can be a real arse. Are there kevlar patches or similar that can be sown into the inner thigh areas? Something to strengthen them?
Any help is appreciated.

Carhartt jeans should fit you, go to their London Fields outlet store, prices start around £10-£15 and mine have lasted for ages. As for the worn out crotch, get a patch sewn in for around £5 at any tailor.

@ Chainbraker - my tailor will re-weave your denims in the crotch region. His work is good and they look as good as new. He can even undertake gusset-strengthening work too. PM me and I'll sort you out.

You could always use some fabric glue and some spare denim material if you have some

Both of these seem like great ideas!!! I get to keep my Old New jeans and buy fresh ones. -

I think the M&S jeans have been mentioned before. I think they are better then the Primark ones and are only £2 more.

Thanks for your input....
Uniqlo jeans have a nice bit of stretch in them. I hardly ever ride in jeans, but when I do ride in my Uniqlo jeans it's bearable.
