  • Also, there is a free, unrestricted set of 5 a side pitches at Hurligham park which don't seem to get very busy, don't know if anyone has spotted these yet. Played there on Thursday and it was fine. Proper goals etc, and 11 a side goals lengthways if the whole thing is free...

  • Bumpage, where's SeƱor Bear?

  • can i give this another bump to try and get some interest. im well up for a bit of a kickabout evenings or weekends. nothing too serious

  • One night this week?

  • I'd be down for some footy action.

  • Im up for a kick about.

  • Where? and when?

    List:
    1 Niall C
    2 Mr.Bear
    3 Tenderloin
    4 Jimm

  • WE need 10ish I guess.

  • bbc is saying 19degrees and sunnyish for tuesday if that sounds good to everyone? 27 tomorrow but a bit short notice id say

  • Tuesday works for me.

  • Ha ha, Pisti will never show

  • Found a pitch yet?

    Linky no worky

    Where we playing then?

  • I've not kicked a ball for six months cos of foot-knack. Thought my playing days could be over but might do a Hargreaves if the right sort of offer comes in.

  • Not looking too promising for tomorrow at the moment, I will cycle oer to haggerston park tomorrow and see how much it is to rent that on a weekday evening, its 3g and is 7 a side so we will need a fairly decent turn out. Other than that I have just started playing there on a sunday evening I'm sure there would be room for a couple if anyone is interested. The pitches are sweet.

  • Bump, wouldn't mind having a kick about mid week, or something.

  • +1

North preferable for me, but have wheels can travel etc.

  • North suits me currently. Central always makes more sense though.

I recently found a 5-a-side pitch on Drury Lane in Covent Garden. Free to use, you just need to book it. Closes a bit early though so it would have to be a 6pm affair.

  • you need to book a block or is it a case of booking it each week?

to get any benefit you need to do this weekly and have a list of 15 (min) players, I'd be up for this and prepared to help put the planning it, might get a few more people post christmas looking to shake the lbs

Mondays or Fridays would be good (Friday beers post match sealing the deal)

  • Shake the Local Bike Shop?

  • Serious though, I like the idea of this. Especially the Friday football then beer ting.

You book it through Westminster Council, I rang them in the summer and they said they never get bookings apart from those that come from the school next door so we could book a regular slot.
