How do you send kippers? I'm not sure I'd want something that looks like boot leather and smells like a whaling boat arriving in the post..

Anyway, Englands national dish these days is chicken tikka masala.. which you may or may not do well. I have nothing to compare it to.
of course we do it well, we invented it. You certainly can't get it in India.

is the Kipper ( or other kind of 'Smokie') not a Scottish thing more than an English thing?
-

I've never been to Indiana.. America won't have me. looks like the Scots might've invented Chicken Tikka Masala anyway..
[ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_tikka_masala[/ame]One potential origin attributes its invention to Ahmed Aslam Ali in Glasgow, United Kingdom. Attempts have been made to have the European Union grant Chicken tikka masala Protected Designation of Origin status as a Glaswegian dish. Another potential origin is as a variation on a traditional Mughlai dish. Surveys have found Chicken tikka masala to be the most popular dish in British restaurants and it has been called "Britain's true national dish."

That is a marketing gimmick for a new variety of Vegemite. A marketing gimmick that has achieved world-wide press for the product with such a shit name. I can't even get any and I'm talking about it.
Vegemite is still the most awesome toast spread on the planet.
Marmite + Guinness, Marmite + Champagne etc
My point? I don't remember.
You didn't even have a point to start with. It was all about spread.

That's what happens when you default to an advertising agency to do your creative work for you.
Ricky Gervais should have created some new Flanimals for it.
