Oh yes, I am having a truly bizarre first Olympic experience, where for the first time in more than 20 years, I actually DON'T get the see the Olympics on telly, but am actually in the Athletes Village nearly every day, working. Nice meeting celebs, like Roger Milla, Duncan Goodhew, though meeting the American basketball players was mindnumbingly boring. Basketball is shit. :-)

Does anyone know whether you can get into the olympic park for a wonder around if you have tickets for the wembley arena?

I don't think so. Each ticket and pass is area specific.

I went yesterday and the tickets were scanned at entry to the park and again at entry to the specific stadium. My take was that if your ticket wasn't for that arena or had been used prior, you would be escorted out by Her Majestey's forces. Very good experience going to it and then well worth going during the either the Olympics or Paralympics just to see the whole thing whilst it is up an running.

I may go back during the Paralympics (should tickets be available) and go on the Orbit and generally take some pictures of the Olympic park.

Ive just managed to bag some handball tickets tomorrow for 2:30, thing is I'm not too arsed about handball so will be looking to watch the track cycling on a big screen, is there a particular area that would be good to do this within the park?

Only Olympic Park Venue tickets will get you into the Olympic Park. Entry/Exit is pretty strict. For big screens there is one in the middle of the canal near the Velopark with seats / hills either side.

I'm back track-side from Sat-Mon but even with accreditation cannot get in to many different sports venues (unless rent-a-crowds are needed!)
