Dog Kennel Hill Saino's is the main outlet for KCL students in the nearby halls of residence. Which might explain the ugg boots*.
I went in there once and Jenny Eclair looked at me strangely.

Even walking around in Sainsburys in New Cross earlier today, 100% of people in there that looked my age were equal if not worse than that bloke with the cow scarf. It was pretty crowded for a Sunday afternoon too.

Really though? I thought this thread was for idiots who walk the walk but can't talk the talk.

Its all about the dog kennel hill sainsbury's. no riff raff, low percentage of hipsters.
On the other hand it more than 85% of people in it at any given time are pregnant (in fact I think i nearly got pregnant there just out of sympathy), and all the men seem to wear ugg boots or their derivatives, and look completely puzzled with life and generally a bit bewildered.
Also it's currently closed. Fucking sundays
A man wearing Ugg boots is is known as a Mugg.

Just to add some balance- I used to go there fairly regularly when I lived in West Greenwich, and thought that it was ok.
High% of hipsters, but it is right next to Goldsmiths, so that's like being surprised that it's hot near the Sun.
Scum% actually lower than a lot of SE due to Hipster dilution.
This.
I laugh when folk complain about NewX; it is full of Goldsmiths students. If you want proper horrible go to Peckham or Whay out east London. -

lose the cow scarf and that outfit would be at least halfway acceptable if you lived somewhere warm and where people make an effort to dress nicely, italy for example.
If that was taken in london's famous london then i despair.nonce shorts

So lets quantify supermarkets then. If I shop at Sainsbury's, I'm a hipster. Waitrose, I'm a pleb. Budgens/Aldi/Lidl, I'm a chav.
2011 is all about the corner-shops; six-for-a-fiver on beer and all that.
-
• #4397
Waitrose is definitely not for plebs, yuppies only.

Now it makes sense
edit. too slow.

Sainsbury for me, but I usually make a trip to Tesco every now and again to stock up on beer.

Shit, forgot about the omnipresent Tesco. How fucking bizarre.
