saw the national at brixton last week and the sound was woeful for the first three songs, i was on the verge of walking out when it suddenly drastically improved.

I didn't say that all live music was disappointing, just that it often is. But as you say it's probably down to the music I listen to.
Apparently Brixton is still shite, my friends were furious after seeing MF Doom last month - so glad that I passed on it
I agree, most live concerts I have been to have been disappointing. Mos def was total pants. What was the crack with MF??

Last band I saw at Brixton were Lamb of God (February). The whole show was good, all the bands sounded great.
