I have only just found this thread and I must say I am amazed. I have an upcoming show at the Kemistry Gallery in Shoreditch titled "Authentic Surfaces: The Fixie Colony Algorithms" (working title). I have been out all summer photographing the exact same spots mentioned in this thread! Ha ha! I am particularly proud of the Brick Lane photo with a rare white tyre skid mark.

Presumably you mean what was with it being hip six years ago? I know that's leaving a fake hipster glasses shaped open goal for you to aim at...but I can't believe you've failed to notice that since then the nauseating renaissance of "nu-folk", cupcakes, cardigans, beards, vintage dresses with cute little collars, mumford and hipstagram; every other suspect corporation or peddler of gadgets, debt, obesity or pollution under the sun has been queuing up to play the gondry-esque sweet, kooky, home made "we're just like you" card in an endless deluge of vomit inducing faux naive adverts every single fucking single one of which signifies it's intent with a fucking ukulele.
