I am having trouble UTFS.
I just sometimes get no results when there should be some.
For example, searching for "grobags" on the home page does not return this thread. ??

search engine in this page is a bit temperamental, try to seach the same in google

If you put "site:lfgss.com" (without quotes) in your Google search it will limit the it to that website.
Atm, where in the middle of a transition from the old domain name to the new one, so Google will need a few weeks to update.

Google never did.
Google has only ever index about 1/10th of the whole content on here.
The whole site is only searchable via this site, but the issue with that really comes down to the failure of the software to guess-correct your badly chosen words. There is no "Did you mean?" on here... you have to get the keywords right. Do that, and the search here works... it's just hard to do that.

I think I've "written" about 2 lines of PHP in my life.. so.. no.
Come on.. it'll give you something to do before you get mashton's iClone thing.

Like I'm not already doing an MSc project or upgrading the forum ( ws1.lfgss.com )
-
• #943
Mid-upgrade is always a good time to make some changes... makes debugging that much more interesting.
-
• #944
It's how I write some of my code... only test it every 10,000 lines.
I'm usually just pleased if it compiles.

Developers... scum of the earth.
Unit test, pleeease!
-
• #946
Hackers thanks. Development is what self-help and property magnates are involved in.

Apologies Crash Override... let me pass you your rollerblades.

Unit test, pleeease!
The vast majority of programmers I know can't even define what a unit test is.
They fail to understand the word 'unit'.
I know one person who wants to "unit test all of his Linq". It hurts my head just trying to think of the words to explain to him how nonsensical this statement is.

Testing is for losers. If it compiles it should work. :-)

Neither do I, really... What Im really asking is for something to be delivered that is somewhere in the realms of functional and vaguely resembles the spec. It doesnt even have to be any good... just kinda close would be lovely.
Testing is for losers.
