That was earlier, I fixed it.
Unless you've seen it happening in the last hour.

Oh, and I've no idea whether this has broken anything... but if you're using IE8 I've set the forum to NOT use compatibility mode.
Do I know the impact of this? Nope, not a clue.

Will M!€¬@$#|+ IE users care? Maybe.

I doubt it. IE8 isn't available on the Mac is it?

VB why some people under their name in the profile have the "last activity" and the "current activity" and others dont?

Hi Velocio, I know you're busy, so no need to get back to me till you've got some free time.
I can't understand why the **html Tensile Strength link** in this post looks like that.
-
• #608
That's a bug there... something to do with the system that tries to embed videos.

Give me some examples so that I can have a look.

The difference might be invisibility.
You're invisible right?

If you started a thread in the classifieds, you can now choose to close the thread.
This is especially useful if you've advertised something for sale and have now sold the item.

Did a quick search and found nothing so here goes..
I was reading a new thread that had some thumbnail images half way down the page. After clicking on each one to view a larger image I hit the back button on my browser to go back to the thread but found it was taking me back to the top of the page and not back to the thumbnails. Going back to the thread after some new posts took me to the first unread post and then scrolling up to the thumbnails, clicking on them and then going back to thread was taking me back to first unread post and again not direct to the thumbnails. Hope that makes sense.
Is this my browser, the forum or what? Suggestions please.

If you initially followed a link that took you to an unread post, then the link contained a # and a postid.
Then if you scrolled, left the page, and came back... the browser would read the # and know to jump you to the post whose id matched the postid.
So it's a feature of the browser that enables me to let you jump to the first unread post, but that prevents the browser from recalling the scroll position were you to come back to the page.
Actually, it doesn't prevent your browser remembering the scroll position, it overrides it. # anchors override everything.

Gotcha, I think. Just gone back to the thread again and this time going back after viewing a pic takes me back to the same spot in the thread. Only difference this time though is there were no new posts to the thread. Tricky little blighters these #'s, there's me thinking their only use was for unlocking mobiles.

VB, is it possible to automatically hide/ignore/mark as read the closed classified threads?
-
• #617
If there's not, I'll build one.

Nice one.

• #619
The links from the Categories page (the home page) that lead you to the classifieds according to the threadprefix, all now exclude closed threads.
-
• #620
What about on the "Posts" button? Trickier I guess?
-
• #621
Not trickier, but then it would provide a global filtering method... closed threads would effectively vanish everywhere. Which would make it impossible to locate them should there be a need to... such as if there is a dispute.
Anyhow... for classifieds... use the links.

Is it possible to have search functionality over subscribed threads?

images keep failing for some reason? thumbnails are not linking properly too?
(probably me being a wanker though :)
