I think he did. Plus his son was there - probably about 7 months old, so I expect the parents were a bit jaded.

Both me and my girl (who knows nought about bikes) thought exactly the same thing. She was dancing around all over the place and seemed to be struggling - but then Rebecca Romero is quite a powerhouse, all that rowing. -
did anyone else catch the gear the team pursuit boys were riding? 105.9" 51 x 13!!!!
DO NOT attempt to do this at home, these guys are pros (or at HH, or in the street)
Looks like they upped the gear for the individual girls medal ride off.....possibly a mistake, Wendy H. looked like she couldn't get on top of it and ended up losing bronze....Rebecca's ride was awesome, but slower than her qualifying.

I saw the semi. He was good in that. Don't have the interactive wotsit so didn't see the final. How much quicker than the French guy was he?
About a tyre the first time, more like a wheel the second :)

CTT is the governing body of Time-Trialling in the UK....they do not have a requirement for adults to wear helmets, therefore "head -fairings" are allowed.
BC is the governing body for most other disciplines, their rules are based on UCI rules and helmets are required, however it was only recently that such "head-fairings" were still allowed for individual events such as pursuit or time trials (in stage races for example), a few years ago this rule was changed and the aero helmets have to offer protection, the designs changed almost overnight and you can see that aero helmets worn in the Tour de France now are much "fatter" than before this rule came into effect.[/quote]
