apparently Evans dont stock Mavic Rush in any of the Manchester shops so I have no choice but to buy online. The guy I spoke to advised I buy half a size up from what I wear in trainers.

Tried Cycle Surgery? Listed on their website, I have a feeling they price match too.

I'll give them a call now.
I've never been in there so I forgot it existed. Cheers.

Grab some Carbon DHB's for that price. Much stiffer sole.

So ugly

Slightly off topic but has anyone tried the new Look S-Track pedals? They are remarkably Time-like but they look sexier. Was thinking of getting a pair but don't know if I should just buy another pair of Times instead

Lost the end cap off my retro Aliums. Was gonna special order a replacement but I thought I was due an upgrade anyway.
Got these instead. -

Cheese! Flipped my shoe to be greeted by this sight! Nowhere near a year.
Still damn good retention system.

So this happened on my commute this morning. Ever so slight brown lycra moment. How does this happen?? Less than a year old.
-
• #663
was the end cap in place?
-
• #664
It was. It had to be unscrewed with needle nose pliers.

blimey. less than a year seems like terrible durability!

To be fair my rocks seem a bit shit, they look really rough and have several deep scrapes on them and I don't put them through half what a proper MTBer would.

Don't tell me this now, mine are due to be delivered this week.

I'm sure you'll be fine.

Haven't had any issues with the XS Titans or Carbons after a few years' use.

Thankfully my brown lycra moment happened near Condor so I bought some Aliums and carried on with my journey. Just as tough as I remember them. Don't think I'll be going back to the Rocs.

^so would you say Aliums are tougher than Rocs? Might have to try some if so, as I've pulled my leading leg up and out of my Rocs a couple of times now with pretty new cleats. The only Aliums I've tried thus far are old second-hand silver ones.

i had alliums and bought rocs and thought the alliums definitely felt more solid, but they also werent as nice to clip in and out of, and also quite a lot heavier.
i prefer the rocs

Both the Rocs and Aliums feel good to clip in/out of and ride in generally. That's just the ATAC system though rather than the pedal. They really don't feel much different when you're clipped in. Aliums are dense ol' units though. If you're not worried about weight and just want them for commuting you could do a lot worse. I bought the Rocs thinking I'd fiddle about with the tension but never did. Don't think the Rocs are much of an upgrade. Apart from in the looks department of course.

The reason I bough the XC2 (new roc) over the Allium was because of tension adjust, was very disappointed when there was none.
odd they seem to price match www.winstanleysbmx.com but there is no mention of www.winstanleysbikes.co.uk
