  • Easts is dead on a date.

does that mean you'll be dressed up in your best party frock and high heels?

  • No, I'm not that far East.

  • Just checking!

I'm absolutely shattered but am still coming...

  • **East Beers will henceforth be held at London's famous Forumenger-run

    The Jolly Butcher's
    204 Stoke Newington High Street

On the corner with Garnham Street, and just opposite Stoke Newington Church Street

There is new bicyle parking outside, but take your pub bike and two decent locks.

I know it's an N postcode, but it's still Hackney and nobody seems to live further south than that anymore.
It shuts late and the range of beers is always amazing.

Joe can reserve us a table if we get enough people down there each week.

east drinks with a North postcode?

  • Haven't been to a East drinkup in ages. Is there a place where we can lock our bikes or keep an eye on it?

  • We had brand new cycle parking installed just outside the door for that very purpose.

This will probably be surrounded all night by people talking about bikes.

  • Will be there around 1900 to nab a parking space.

  • this is so close to me, I'll join in.

Will be chaining up quite a large raleigh with a green seatpost. say hi :P

  • Heading up there in a minute or two. see you soon.

  • Heading up there in a minute or two.

    Wow, that's quick.

I'll take around five minutes on foot, and I live closer.

  • Jcgarcia made me forget the hat...sat out in the cold, Brr! Still look like cyclists though.

  • On my way there from Hackney. See ya soon.

  • my first EASTS (glad it got it right this time) good fun :)

  • Yup, good fun indeed...good to meet a few heads

  • Just got back. Was a nice evening. Glad to put some faces to the forum names here.

Very nice pub. Very tasty beers and lagers.

Thanks Joe for the drinks. I do owe you a few.

  • Good seeing you all briefly. My first weds evening off in about 6 months and at a pub I've always wanted to go to. Couldn't ask for more.

  • was that you in the LMNH tshirt? didnt get a chance to chat, was in a rush to get home for moar food :)

  • I think Easts has found a new home! Sorry it was such a fleeting visit, good to see faces old and new.

  • the ladies get candles and birdies in the water closet

  • So is this a perminant move as N16 now classed as east?

  • i don't know about the ladies, but in gents i almost pissed in the sink, as it looks like where you need to do it. good, that there are new bike racks outside the premises. the food looked really good. see you next time.

  • Big Dave: here's a route out to Essex. Ignore the first two miles, after that it's 10 miles from the roundabout and you're in the countryside.
