@shinscar: "throwdown" as in "okay who's going to throw a time down" - said often. Or "throwdown" as in* "..I was hiphop dancing in the park with my "crew" - and we had a "throwdown" with our rivals, Spastic Fantastic."*
@dogs: this was my normal gear!!!!!!! I rode a geared bike, no coasting, no gear change. chopped risers, bioturbo saddle, Rubinos. It's the Clapham Slapper dude. I'm not sure you've seen it but it ain't exactly the last word in TT-specific technology....
@object: I was never actually pushing for splatbucket's time to be allowed dude, I'm in full agreement with you on that - just want him to know I thought it was hard luck his roll wasn't valid and I want to see his next time...

His time simply doesn't stack up.Exactly. If we begin to question the stopwatch/time keeper. We may as well fuck the whole thing off.

^ and Shinscar limbering up..edit: 31trum already got in there..
okay no more from me after this, I've even bored myself to real tears.
@ object - I wasn't blaming you for the error dude. I was laying the blame perhaps at an errant stopwatch... there was no sense of the time making sense after we worked out the gap.
I can't remember if you were there that night a rider set off, Somebody had a bit of a chat, looked at the stopwatch then looked back up, his face ashen. "Er.... the stopwatch hasn't started..."...it was funny but it did fuck the time up..
Fair or not, errant stopwatches, buses, crap motorists who actually slow down to see why we're all shouting "MOVE!!" at them, poor starts because the dufus holding the seatpost makes you wobble as you set off (um...Tomasito I think you can knock at least two seconds off next week..) ...all these things make it a whole bunch of great drunken laffs though, no? :D
I wasn't trying to be harsh to anyone in particular, I was more defending Luke's efforts even though his time was plainly not feasible. A colon and a closing bracket.:)
btw I'd like to confirm that I might stand a chance of being a black mamba some day.

The pics seem to be reduced in quality quite a lot from those that I uploaded. Is this just how it works?

I was wondering about that too, what are the image specs before you upload? are you editing them?
Next week I suggest 1 v 1 drag sprints down the straight.
Gauntlet thrown.

Beer telefocal.
Luke rides a high gear and is a fast rider, there no disputing that.
I'm not claiming it was malicious, simply that we cannot accept that time against the usual times as the route was shorter. Cutting corners is surely against the spirit of the TT.
Some of the regulars have been busting their asses trying to get sub 2. Allowing people to cut out the roundabouts is retarded as it shortens the circuit.
