great night last night dudes, feels like chapter 2 has arrived on the TT, too many way faster times last night, the bar has been raised. Very happy to have laid down a gauntlet to noone but myself on the old Clapham Beauty. That is some feeling as you get off your bike and your thighs have become two burning slabs. Yes I rolled 52:16.

Okay let's stoke the forgotten embers of controversy: splatbucket, I reckon you was robbed. You laid down a very very fast time that's for sure, the stopwatch didn't work right (not the first time) and so you came zooming in at a time Buck Rogers would have had trouble doing in his space car. At which point everyone kind of accused you of not going round the course properly and ignored your efforts. Shame cos you gave it your all and you were fast.

Luke you better be there next week. I'm sure there'll be about five stewards lining the route all with stopwatches and then when you romp home sub two minutes everyone can realise they are a bit older and creakier than you and drink too much.

Had a great night last night, thanks folks. I'll give the TT a go on my Dolan next week, it's faster than my poncy japanese slave waggon and crucially its got a break, gonna try and crack that 2 minute barrier. I'll become a stony faced obsessive, plenty of Rocky-style training and a pounding, inspirational theme tune in my head....and i'm going to herne hill at 8.30am for track induction. if any else's coming along, be good to meet up.

All ways round, if he didn't do anything wrong in his view then it would have felt pretty lame to give 100 per cent, get a time that was fast, then get it discounted and kind of taken the piss out of for cheating.

It's only a bit of fun, after all. But I for one would like to see what your man rolls in at next week - cos I reckon he's going to be fast.

52:16 is cheating, you should be riding your normal gears. fuckit, next week, i'll whack on the 19mm tubs inflated to 160 psi, whack on the track drops, put on the road cleats, push 86", in full lycra.
